My husband and I took a very spontaneous trip to Baltimore on my 35th birthday. We had never stayed at a B&B before and didn't really know what to expect. It was so clean and decorated so nicely. Barry, one of the proprietors was so sweet, friendly and totally down to earth. The breakfast was outstanding! And the chef was also very sweet and friendly. She makes awesome lemon poppy waffles! I wish we could have stayed longer than one night, but we will surely be back! Thanks again...

My husband and I were going to stay at one of the major hotel chains directly in the Inner Harbor, until I saw all the wonderful reviews on this site and decided to try this B&B. Well, to say that we loved it is an understatement. The location is fine for walking to/from Baltimore's major attractions, and we enjoyed being in the residential neighborhood of Federal Hill. I was initially concerned about finding the off-street parking lot, but it was actually very easy to get to and it was closeby.

We stayed in the Hickory Vale room, which was absolutely beautiful (the picture on the website doesn't do it justice!); the bed was extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was fun. Breakfasts were delicious and we found both Barry and Claudette to be knowledgeable and charming.

We hope to return to Baltimore one of these days to stay here again!

We stayed a few months back for our anniversary and had a blast. The staff was overly excited to help us out (find the place and get parking, for starters!). The room was quiet and very comfy. Most bed & breakfast's have such thin walls, that you're "forced" to know your neighbor, but we didn't hear anything the entire time, save breakfast when you join the other guests. Speaking of breakfast was filling and wonderful.

For the price, you could stay at a hotel in Baltimore, but why waste that much money when you can be treated as a true guest.

Thanks Scarborough Fair! We hope to be back.

“Better than ever”

Scarborough Fair Bed and Breakfast

I've stayed at this B&B several times before and loved it. The new owners are very gracious and have made it even more comfortable. They've upgraded the linens to bamboo sheets and towels - very plush, soft, and eco-friendly. The breakfasts are great and little touches like fresh orchids in the room will keep me coming back. Also, they are slowly redecorating all the rooms.

“Are You Going to Scarborough Fair?”

Scarborough Fair Bed and Breakfast

Apr 3, 2008

I planned a surprise birthday get away for my wife in the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD. We stayed the weekend at the Scarborough Fair B&B located in Federal Hill District of Baltimore City, a mile south of the Inner Harbor. We were treated like royalty. Barry, the innkeeper made sure we were comfortable, well fed each morning and briefed us on the special events and attractions around the Inner Harbor. The chef made the most delicious breakfasts. The location of this B&B is great for walking to the Inner Harbor, as we traveled by Amtrak train to the city and via cab to the B&B. You are able to walk to Camden Yards for an Orioles ball game or Raven Football game, the Mariner Convention Center, Maryland Science Center, and all the Inner Harbor attractions. Our accommodations where spectacular, we stayed in the "Hickory Vale" room, the best room in the house. The room has a private entrance to the street, large Jacuzzi tub and a canopy bed and direct access to the dining room. We highly recommend if you plan on staying in the Baltimore City's Inner Harbor, the Scarborough Fair B&B is place to be. J & D, Manassas, VA.
