5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2011

Great rooms, super-comfy beds, classic bathroom designs. Unique room layouts and nice view creates a charm that is a nice break from standard hotels. Close to restaurants and bars in Fells Point. Love the place!

We stayed in Suite 9 which was for 4. The suite was well and tastefully furnished. The King bed in the rear of the apartment very comfy and being in the back, very quite. The other couple had the pullout in the living room area. Only complaint is it tended to be a bit noisy as it was right on Thames street and the local surroundings are bars & restaurants. Fantastic location, just be prepared for a bit of noise. We had a late check in and it was a little confusing however once we got situated, we had no issues. The staff was extremely helpful, polite and responsive to any issues or questions we had.

I was in town for an overnight and found Celies to be a perfect spot to relax. Close to the Harbor, great restaurants and wonderful character. A little difficukt at the start to find their "doorway", but after I did, it added to the eccentricity of this place.

Overall a great experience and worthy of many returns.

I stayed at Celie's Waterfront Inn for two nights while attending a family wedding. The rooms were attractive and immaculate. I stayed in an Atrium room and it was very quiet. The staff was very helpful - for example, they kept the coffee pots and food replenished during breakfast and ordered cabs for us. The continental breakfast was high quality.

One thing I didn't like was the strong, "flowery" smell of the bed linens. I like a hotel room that smells nice, but I'm sensitive to odors and I had trouble going to sleep because of the
overwhelming scent of the bed linens.

Even though the reception desk was staffed throughout the day, the lights were frequently turned off. I thought no one was manning the desk. I had to look closely to find that there was a staff member in the office.

Finally, if you need any kind of help after the office closes at around 4:00 pm, FORGET IT. My cousin's family lost their room key. They called the off-hours number and left messages. No one ever returned their call. They were never able to get into their room that night. If you want 24 x 7 service, Celie's is not the place for you.

I enjoyed my stay at Celie's, but it doesn't provide the 24 x 7 service you'd expect from a major hotel or a bed and breakfast where the owners are on site. The location is wonderful and the facilities are lovely but be prepared for limited staff availability.

An excellent alternative to big box hotels. A B &B in the heart of Fell's point. Its walking distance to many great restaurants, pubs, and clubs. Directly across the street is the wate taxi to inner harbor. Front staff is very warm and helpful. Rooms are as advertised with comfortable and clean beds, newly appointed baths, high end amenities, and of course the obligatory coffee maker in room. Quiet considering its locaction. Great weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Garden Terrace room, facing the back .

We enjoyed our stay at Celie's. The rooms were extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable. We're also a little disappointed as well. Our friends were in the apartments at the other building. The smell of animal urine in the staircase who horrible. We all had to hold our breathe when we ran to the apartment. Once in the apartment you didn't smell it at all. The "hearty" continental breakfast wasn't that "hearty". I was expecting eggs and meat, not just oatmeal, cold cereal, one type of fruit and plenty of danish and bagels. All in all if we found ourselves in Fell's Point again, I would consider staying there.
