“Great Meeting Room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

My team recently held a meeting in the "Vault" at the hotel. It was a great meeting room. Very private and accomodating for a group of 5 - 10. The room itself was very unique. Check out their photos on the web. The staff was great, expecially Patrice. She was extremely helpful in making all the arrangements and making sure we had everything we expected. Thanks for making the easy part of the meeting truly easy!

Thank You very much for your recent review of SpringHill Suites Baltimore Inner Harbor. We always appreciate our guests feedback.

Unfortunately, as with most urban areas, parking can be somewhat challenging, especially during events like baseball and football. We do our best to keep our parking rates as competitive as possible without sacraficing service. For your convenience, valet parking is available 24-hours at the hotel, however, there are other garages in the area that are a little less expensive, just make sure you pay attention to hours of operation and understand that if you do need your car, you'll have to pay each time you exit that garage.

I hope you'll stay with us again on your next visit to Baltimore. Is there anything we can do to make your next stay with us more enjoyable?

Booked this hotel last minute as a detour while in the area. We chose to use the light rail rather than pay to rent and then pay to park. Less than 1/2 mile walk to light rail. Very central location for walking to Inner Harbor, Little Italy, ball fields, etc. Very very clean, friendly staff who offered suggestions on things to see, good hot breakfast buffet.

Room Tip: We had requested a high floor, but there really isn't a view out of the windows. Don't worry...

Thank you very much for your recent review of the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baltimore Inner Harbor. As you mentioned, we are centrally located right in the center of the city, so just about every attraction is within walking distance....and for those that are not so close, our guests can use the Charm City Circulator for FREE. There is more to Baltimore than just the Inner Harbor!

I look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Baltimore.

We arrived on a Friday and were checked-in. We eagerly made our way up to our fifth floor room and entered our suite. We both entered and were admiring the sitting area when we noticed an older couple napping in their beds. We quickly backed up and went back downstairs to the front desk. We let the front desk staff and manager know that we were given a room where there were two people sleeping in their beds. She said she was going to find out what they were doing in there. In the meantime, we were given keys to another suite on the fourth floor. We were not offered any complimentary upgrades or comps in general, which would have been appropriate considering the major security issue and awkward situation that just occurred. Thank goodness my boyfriend and I are both decent human beings!

It was so loud outside of the hotel at night that we barely got any sleep. There were fights and dogs barking. It was such a major disruption that continued until about 5 a.m. Check-out was at noon. Between 11 a.m. and noon housekeeping came in too our room four times to see when we would be leaving so that they could clean. I told them each time that we were checking out at noon. We did not have a door handle notice or anything available to use to hang on the knob to let them know but it was the same two women. They were literally camped outside our door for the hour.

The front desk staff were not particularly friendly or warm. However, the valet were very kind and courteous. The breakfast was very basic but the room overall clean. I wouldn't recommend this Marriott to any of our friends or family. We were greatly disappointed with our stay.

Thank You for your recent review of the SpringHill Suites Inner Harbor.

I am sorry your stay was not satisfactory. I have done some research and found that there was an error by the front desk clerk that checked you in. I have reviewed this situation with our team and you can rest assured that this mistake will not happen again.

With regards to the late night activities in the Inner Harbor, we are the regional hub for Baltimore's nightlife. There are many activities that happen in and around the harbor area, from baseball games, to concerts at major areana's like First Mariner Areana, to concerts in smaller venues. Unfortunately sometimes patrons exiting these venues are disruptive and we do our best to try and accommodate our guests. I am sorry this happened on a night when you were at the hotel.

I have shared your comments with our from desk staff and I can promise that your next visit to our hotel will be much more enjoyable. I do look forward to meeting you on your next trip.

Sincerely,

Jason Curtis

Had an absolutely remarkable stay. Checked in Sunday, left on Tuesday and enjoyed every minute of the stay. Wonderful rooms, Wonderful City. Only an hour outside of Washington DC. The Staff was remarkable. I would particularly like to single out an individual here. Andre, the overnight front desk agent was extremely helpful in our stay. He is very knowledgeable, of not just the Baltimore Area, but of the Washington DC area as well. Every restaurant he recommended was excellent. He assisted in getting us Tickets to see the Nationals and Orioles Baseball Teams and even recommended a place by the ballparks to get great Crab Cakes, a MD tradition. Overall, my family and I could not have asked for a more pleasant trip and will definitely return to this facility.

Our daughter's wedding was at the Belvedere on August 11th. After interviewing several hotels in the Harborfront area, we selected and booked almost 40 rooms at the Spring Hill Suites. Patrice and Kathleen stayed in touch with us from the moment we signed the group contract up until the time we left.

When we arrived a day before our guests, Rich, our valet, greeted us and asked our name. He immediately ran inside to "announce" our arrival. When we walked in the door we were greeted by name by the desk clerk, Yolanda. She was simply wonderful. (And her 25th annversary was also Aug 11). Patrice, the manager came out and greeted us also. We were greeted by Kathleen as soon as she arrived.
1) The rooms are large are clean. Beds are very comfortable. Housekeeping staff is efficient and worked around the wedding schedule.
2) The breakfast bar is clean, delicious, and plentiful. The young woman maintaing it kept everything neat, clean, and filled.
3) The maintenance and housekeeping staff are simply wonderful.
It was very pleasantly obvious that the staff was "coached". We were greeted by every staff member we encountered.
4) Kathleen even arranged for a hair stylist for our daughter, the bridal party, and family. The hotel provided a room for him to do hair. Andrew even came to the Belvedere to make sure the bride's hair was perfect for her day.
5) The valet service was great. Extra staff was brought on for guests to depart and return from the wedding.

We just simply can't say enough about this hotel, the rooms, and especially, the staff.

Please choose this hotel to host your group or even just a weekend stay.

Thank you so much for making this such a memorable weekend!

Room Tip: All rooms are suites. Microwave and refigerator. Flat screen tv's.

We stayed here for two nights as a weekend getaway and tocheck out a new city. This hotel is on par with other Spring Hill Suites that I have stayed in. The rooms are very comfortable, well adorned with modern ameneties, comfortable bed. We had a corner room which had a sitting area with a desk, couch, tv, and wet bar, and had a large bedroom area with a King bed, and plenty of space around. The bathroom was decent, but no frills. The breakfast, again was no frills.-- the classic 'free hot breakfast' with sausage patties, crappy eggs, yogurt, cereal, bagels, pastries, etc. The staff at the hotel was exceptional. Every time we asked a question at the front desk, we were politely greeted and given prompt, accurate answers. Additionally, they were flexible the evening after we checked out and allowed us to hang out in the lobby for a bit, while we waited to get our flight situation resolved.

In all, a good place to stay that's just 2-3 blocks from the Inner Harbor. You'll get a discount from the harbor-side hotels, and its a solid, clean, quiet hotel.
