“enjoyed our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

The room was very nice and clean and the staff at the hotel are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was bonus and good selections. It was very convenient to the baseball field and within walking distance to the inner harbor.

Great hotel to stay at in downtown Baltimore, right across from Camden Yards, very close to the Sports Museum and Babe Ruth Birthplace. Walking distance to the Inner Harbor. Excellent room, sprarkling clean bath, wonderful pool & Jacuzzi, excellent complimentary breakfast. Extra charge for valet parking which is necessary in this downtown location. Highly recommended.

great place to stay if your going to an orioles game, just across stree from stadium. Nice hotel, only minor problem is rooms needs curtains that close the whole way and valet parking seemed expensive for those staying in hotel

Hello PAalone,

Thank you for your response. Would you be willing to contact me directly so I can find out what room you were in? All of our rooms have blackout curtains, so I'd like to make sure there isn't something wrong with that room. I have also seen them get tucked behind the panels on the sides that don't close and are easily missed.

Thank you,
Bill Dillon

This hotel is conveniently located across the street from Camden Yard ballpark and within walking distance to the harbor front attractions. The major reason we do not recommend this hotel is that upon our return to our fifth floor corner room in the early evening, there were 4 menacing looking teenagers, who were not hotel guests, hanging out directly outside of our room and although we made it clear that the room was ours, they refused to leave for 10 minutes. Although nothing happened they easily could have robbed us as well. Security failure allowed for them to access the private room areas. When there is a game at the ballpark, hundreds of fans gather directly outside the front entrance of the hotel starting in mid-afternoon, without any monitoring of who enters and proceeds to wander the hallways accessed by either unsecured elevators or stairwell. When we spoke with senior management the next morning, our complaint was not taken seriously and we were told that they have no security problems and that security is monitored after 10 pm. The room was pleasant with included carb filled breakfast. Will not stay here again.

Everything we experienced here was great. The rooms were large, clean and very nice and comfortable. Staff was all very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good, though I wish they had eggs that didn't already have meat mixed into them since I'm a vegetarian. We came with a baby and had no problems, just lots of smiles. Still a little pricier than I would have liked.

Hello Rachael G,

Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad your stay was comfortable, our hotel clean, and our staff friendly. We work very hard to make it that way, thank you for mentioning it. I'm sorry we didn't have what you were looking for at breakfast that day. We rotate several different hot options and one of those options is the plain scrambled eggs. Maybe we will have that for you next visit, which we hope is soon!

Thank you,
Bill Dillon

We got the last room available for a Tues night stay- was on the second floor with the room facing Camden Yards. Before staying here, I did read alot of the previous reviews that expressed concerns about the valet parking, noisy crowd from bars next to hotel etc. It is a very narrow street to get to the hotel, but the people working the valet parking are extremely friendly and helpful. We had no problems whatsoever leaving our car with the valet people. When we left the next day, the car was ready in a few minutes. But I don't think you would want to first check into the hotel a half hour before an Oriole's game though. There is a huge spillover crowd of fans from the bars next to the hotel that go into the street - but blocked by barracades. The room was very nice- king size bed very comfortable and pull out sofa bed was very good also. We really didn't hear much noise from the game when we were in the room while the game was going on in the later innings. Only item of minor discomfort was not having exhaust in the bathroom. Free breakfast in the morning was very good, eggs, make your own waffles (very good) among the other usual fares. Pool is very small - and only open from 5 to 10pm. Easy 2 minute walk to stadium. The hotel workers were very helpful and friendly. We left a item just bought in the closet, and they found it the next day and shipped it back to us.

Perfect location for ease of access for transportation anywhere in Baltimore. Accommodations are clean and staff are very accommodating. One block from Hilton Conference Center, Two blocks from city transit system with ease of access to the airport and across from the baseball stadium. Good value for the money.
