Good location (5 mins to harbour); room seemed new and very comfortable.

Breakfast selection is average...closer to a Hampton Inn & Suites than the full breakfast buffet i've seen at a different Residence Inn

Valet parking is pretty pricey ($28)...that's the price to pay for this location!

Thank you for your review:

I wanted to respond to you statement that our breakfast was "more like the Hampton Inn and Suites. “Currently we Serve Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Oatmeal, and breakfast potatoes. We also serve fresh Belgium Waffles and have a fresh fruit parfait station. We also rotate Grits, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, and corn beef hash.

We also have great food the people that want a healthy start. We serve fresh fruit, granola, cereal, yogurt, fresh breads, and hard boiled eggs.

If you have a suggestion of an item that we could add to our delicious breakfast buffet, please let me know.

The other hotel that you have mentioned has only two hot items every day.

We stayed here for a couple of days in order to take my 3 year old daughter to the Baltimore Aquarium. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and it a location not too far from the harbor. We walked to the aquarium and it took us about 12 - 15 minutes.

We had a two bedroom suite on the 14th floor and the room was immaculate. This hotel was only built 1 1/2 years ago, so the condition was great and the staff seems to do a nice job of keeping everything looking new.

The included continental breakfast was much more than I expected. There was quite a bit of variety including some hot items. Considering this is a limited service hotel, I was surprised how good this was. They also have a happy hour in the evenings with free food and drinks, but we were never able to get back to the hotel in time to try this.

Definitely a hotel I would recommend to anyone staying in downtown Baltimore.

My boyfriend and I had planned a weekend trip 2 weeks before the actual date. We were only able to book one night at the Residence Inn because of the convention that was going on. First off I would like to say that I am very anal about the hotel cleanliness and let me tell you, this place was spic and span!! The beds were so comfortable, living area was spacious, the kitchen was equipped with a large refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove!!! The free continental breakfast was great!!!!

We ended up spending our second night over at the Marriot waterfront hotel which i was looking very forward to but turned out not so wonderful..wish we could have stayed our second night at the residence inn!!

staff is very friendly too!!

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel because we were going to visit his son who was stationed at Ft. Meade, and we wanted a suite with doors between the bedroom and the main living area. We got a price of $199/night through [--].

Check in was quick and efficient. I liked that you had to swipe your room card in the elevator in order for it to work - not foolproof security, but it was certainly heads and shoulders over other properties I've stayed at! The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and quiet. We were on the 8th floor, and although our room abutted the elevator, I never heard a sound. Extra pillows and bedding were already there in the closet, and it was great to have a full sized refrigerator in the room so we could keep the drinks we bought at the CVS drugstore next door cold.

The breakfast buffet was really very good. I wish that they had a pool, but the location was great, service was great, the free buffet was wonderful, and we will definitely stay there again the next time we head that way.

  • Liked — Location; cleanliness; comfortable bed; great breakfast
  • Disliked — No pool; $28/day to park.

This high rise hotel is on a main drag about 2 blocks from Camden Yards and I 1/2 blocks from Baltimore's fabulous inner harbor.Upon arrival I was pleased that my request made the day before for a room on an upper floor was honored but was surprised to see a sign at the front desk saying that the hotel welcomes your pet. When I inquired about where exactly the pets stayed and whether a dog or cat could have been sleeping in the same bed I would be sleeping in, the 3 people behind the desk all assumed that "deer in the headlights" look until one of them finally made up what he probably thought was a good explanation: "we bomb (insecticide)the rooms after the animal leaves." This is ,of course ,ridiculous and even though he pointed out that the sheets are changed and the room cleaned , the curtains ,carpet ,bedspread and couch are not changed and the possibility of fleas ,hair and and pet dander left behind is a real sanitary issue. The fact that our bathroom had a long black hair on the white-tiled shower walls and the inside of the bathroom door had black fingerprint marks on it just emphasized that housekeeping is not the answer to residual pet issues. We also had the displeasure of seeing a guest come out of the hotel with his full size dog who promptly did his business on the grassy median section of sidewalk. The owner did not clean up. So If you and your pet are looking for an ok hotel in a great location then stay here. If ,on the other hand, you want and expect a higher sanitary standard then choose another area hotel.

Thank you for your review: I wanted to respond to the comments regarding our Pet Policy.

Residence Inn by Marriott-Inner Harbor is proud to be a pet friendly hotel and we encourage our guests to bring there pets under the condition that they do not disturb other guests and do not cause damage to the hotel. They are also required to sign a Pet Policy which required them to curb there animal while walking them outside. The cost for bringing your animal to the Residence Inn by Marriott is $100. This fee is used to remove all pet dander from the room. This procedure is done by removing all linen and using a carpet cleaning machine to clean the curtains, carpet, and furniture. A test is also conducted for flees. In the event flees are present, they are exterminated. The room is usually out of order for 24 hours. This is the purpose of charging $100 cleaning fee.
