This high rise hotel is on a main drag about 2 blocks from Camden Yards and I 1/2 blocks from Baltimore's fabulous inner harbor.Upon arrival I was pleased that my request made the day before for a room on an upper floor was honored but was surprised to see a sign at the front desk saying that the hotel welcomes your pet. When I inquired about where exactly the pets stayed and whether a dog or cat could have been sleeping in the same bed I would be sleeping in, the 3 people behind the desk all assumed that "deer in the headlights" look until one of them finally made up what he probably thought was a good explanation: "we bomb (insecticide)the rooms after the animal leaves." This is ,of course ,ridiculous and even though he pointed out that the sheets are changed and the room cleaned , the curtains ,carpet ,bedspread and couch are not changed and the possibility of fleas ,hair and and pet dander left behind is a real sanitary issue. The fact that our bathroom had a long black hair on the white-tiled shower walls and the inside of the bathroom door had black fingerprint marks on it just emphasized that housekeeping is not the answer to residual pet issues. We also had the displeasure of seeing a guest come out of the hotel with his full size dog who promptly did his business on the grassy median section of sidewalk. The owner did not clean up. So If you and your pet are looking for an ok hotel in a great location then stay here. If ,on the other hand, you want and expect a higher sanitary standard then choose another area hotel.
