“Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

My daughter, granddaughter and I selected this hotel because it was within walking distance to the Inner Harbor and Convention Center. We were very pleased that they had valet parking because we did not arrive until 10 pm. The service by the valet attendant was excellent and the front desk staff very accomodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good. That morning we had to leave our bags at the hotel, as well as the car - no problem. When we returned later that afternoon they quickly retrieved our luggage and car. I would definitely stay here again.

“One stay was enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This hotel was centrally located to the harbor area. Upon booking our room on expedia that morning, we checked in to the hotel. Right away things started to go downhill. Our reservation cod not be found. This took a call by the hotel staff to Expedia resulting in over 30 minutes of waiting. Meanwhile our vehicle is parked in the front of the hotel. While waiting we had to move our vehicle out of the way for other guests who were checking in. Making us seem as if we didn't belong there. Finally we had a room on the 10th floor. The room was large with two queen beds. Overall the room was adequate and clean. We were very happy. Thats until we went to bed. The noise from the street kept myself and my two year old up all night. The constant sirens, loud music from cars at 3am, the returning hotel guests at 2-3am kept is awake. I checked the windows at 3 am to male sure they were closed which they were. In the morning, i noticed one of the locks on the window will not engage fully leaving a small space between the the top window and the bottom. The space was not visible but i could hear the noise from that window. Due to a lack of sleep which is the reason of getting the room, problem with the reservation, we rated the hotel poorly. Hopefully you will have better luck.

“Great Two BR Suite & Convenient Location to Inner Harbor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Our family of four stayed here on the Saturday night of MLK weekend. We stayed in a 2 BR/2BA suite with 1 King in one BR and 2 Queen Beds in the other BR and a nice size living, dining, and kitchen area. There were TVs in all the rooms and the beds were comfortable. The furnishings, bedding, accessories, carpeting were up-to-date and tasteful and the suite was very clean. We were on the 7th floor with a view of an old run down building and the parking lot that is used for valet parking ($32 for valet parking, but we did see a lot near by for $15 overnight parking.) Even though we didn't have a great view, we did like that we were able to see our car and that it was in a protected, private parking lot. I'm not sure that any of the rooms would have a great view since there are so many tall buildings around. The staff were very friendly and customer service oriented. Since our room was ready, we were allowed to check in early. The hotel is an easy walk to the Inner Harbor and we felt perfectly safe. I agree with other reviewers that you want to be aware of your surroundings if walking around late at night. We walked back in the dark around 7:30PM and we did not leave the hotel after that. The breakfast buffet on Sunday morning was very crowded and we had to wait to find an open table. The food was just OK, nothing great, but it is nice that it is included in the price. FYI - there is a Dunkin Donuts right next door, if you prefer. We only saw a couple of restaurants in the immediate vicinity and there is a restaurant/bar on the lower level of the hotel. We had a chicken quesadilla appetizer that was just OK, but we very much enjoyed the white wine sangria that the bartender recommended. We stayed in an identical-type room in Philadelphia last year and it was a nice room as well, but the furnishings of this room in Baltimore were much better. I searched a lot of hotels in the Inner Harbor area to find a true 2 BR suite and the Residence Inn was the only place I could find. Most of the other "suite" hotels would require that our 11 & 13 year olds sleep on a sleep sofa (and we've had bad experiences with hotel sleep sofas in the past!) We would definitely stay at this Residence Inn again and highly recommend this type of room to families who want some space and comfortable sleep environments.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

very clean room and close to harbor. not a great view from room,it overlooked grafitti-laden bldg.but was in walking distance to attractions. we were on the top(15th) floor and the one of two elevators was down on the second day. long wait for elevator. breakfast very crowded on sunday morning. lots of solicitors for money on the streets at night so be aware. but all in all a safe area.

Room Tip: ask for a room that you can see the harbor from
