“Relaxed asian fusion dining”

We ate at the counter overlooking the kitchen, which is always entertaining. Service was a tad slow, considering the restaurant was about 50% capacity at dinner time. The Sangria was excellent, as were the salads. The salmon was cooked to perfection and staff was accommodating to sub out one veggie for another.

“Literally planned my vacation so I could go to this restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

I had the distinct pleasure of eating at Roy's In San Diego four years ago and although I did not have a reservation, they snuck us in and gave us the best meal of our lives. Their wine collection is astounding and their menu is just mouth-watering, They even made us a special cake for dessert and the service and the food was just out of this world.

I have been dying to go back there but they only have a handful of locations across the country, Baltimore about 600 miles from me but people who know me know it's all about goals.

I made plans to travel to Baltimore for Easter, flying down with the only definite plan being to once again dine at this restaurant. I made a reservation well in advance and once seated, we were treated to beautiful table decorations, and two complimentary appetizers, including ribs that simply melted in your mouth like butter.

I chose the lump crap appetizer, after all isn't Baltimore known for crab? I had never had lump crab before and it was super delish. Cseasar salad and a fabulous beef dish topped off the meal and the dessert menu blew me away. The restaurant has the faint smell of brown sugar and pineapple and the service is over the top perfection. A special shout out to our hostess Meghan for taking such good care of us and our assistant waiter, Mario, whose attention and service was impeccable.

With locations in Florida, California, Chicago, Hawaii, and Baltimore, I am bound and determined to head to one of these locations to experience this incredible restaurant once again.

If you either live or travel to these cities, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the best meal of you life.

Again, that Meghan and Mario! Superb time!

Great staff, great drinks, great food...what more can one ask for in a restaurant. This is our second visit and it won't be our last! While the prices may be a little high, it's well worth it. Fresh and innovative, it needs to be on your list when in Baltimore. Only which they had a Roy's in Boston!

“Nice evening!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

We started with happy hour in the bar, excellent prices and drinks/ food. Bartenders were friendly and accommodating! Dinner table was changed to a booth in a very accommodating way, wonderful hostess, and waitress Marlee was super. Tried short rib, vegetarian pad thai, hake and steak, and had a super meal. all cooked perfectly, with great taste. We don't do chains often (there are many home grown restaurants here), but the Baltimore Roy's turned out to be a great decision. Good for small groups (we had 4) or larger parties.

“Not what we remembered”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

We had eaten at this restaurant several years ago and loved it. Made reservations for 5 for a Saturday night. The decor upon walking in felt tired and in need of a refresh. We ordered the canoe appetizer for the table, all the apps were great as well as the edamame. My choice for dinner was a Five Spice Hangar Steak, there was no spice, no flavor at all and meat was quite tough. The others at the table seemed happy with their entrees, 2 with the short ribs and 2 with the prix fixe salmon. Coffee was ordered and served cold, the service was almost non existent.
All in all a disappointment. Next time in Baltimore, we will choose somewhere else.
