“Dining out pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

This dinner was a limited menu promotional offering by an online university, which turned out to be just fine. They started out with 4 appetizers: Schezuan ribs, crispy lobster pot stickers, seared Ahi Tuna, & Grilled shrimp, all were fabulous. Dinner was a salad with sugary crusted nuts, feta cheese, huge blackberries on Bibb lettuce with an emulsion dressing, really good. The entree we selected was the Mahi mahi crusted with macadamia nuts on 3 potato slices and lobster cream sauce...out of this world fanstastic. Dessert was a selection of 3 cookies that were moist and oh so tasty. The coffee was fresh brewed and perfect. All in all, you could not have a better meal.

“Enjoyed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

The food was great and I enjoyed. We had a seat in the back of the restaurant whinch was really good because it was a lot quietter compared to the seats near the bar. It's a little far from waterfront but worth going there

“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

Had a family reunion dinner here. The food was outstanding. Smaller dishes but gourmet quality. The service was attentive, fast, and efficient. I had the Prix fixe dinner ( a great value).

“Fun atmosphere, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

I'm a foodie, and I appreciate food over atmosphere, Roy's indulges heavily in the latter, and while makes an honest attempt at the former, falls a little flat.
Keep in mind, nothing is bad, it's just nothing makes you stop in your tracks, either in originality, execution or satisfaction.
In part it's the fault of it's location, in the heart of Inner Harbor Baltimore, a tourist centric location, follow that up with a Hawaiian fusion theme- we're a little far from the pacific for these dishes to have traction for anything other than a novelty.
Nothing is bad, nothing is exceptional, the drinks and service are very good, if your tastes and wallet allow for a dalliance with Pan-pacific influence in a Mid-Atlantic region-then you are in for a treat, if you are looking for more of a regional experience or a higher quality dining experience, then you should look elsewhere, and out of the more touristy areas of the city. Exceptional food, and food influences are plentiful in Baltimore, this is simply not one of them.

“Another Roy's - another good meal.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

I have been to Roy's in Las Vegas and in Phoenix. Baltimore location was another good dinner experience. Here on business, there was seven of us. Everyone enjoyed each of their meals and we had a nice variety of appetizers to start. The wait staff was very good and the food service right on.
