“Lives up to the Hype”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

For anyone that loves a good slow roasted beef sandwich, this is the place to go in Baltimore. It's not the easiest place to get into from the road, not always the easiest to get into around lunch time, but it's well worth it.

“The Baltimore classic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

What can I say, it just doesn't get any better than this, a nice pit beef sandwich with the tiger sauce. Totally rocked my world!!! I completely get what Guy Fieri was talking about when he went there!

“A Baltimore Stable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

Food here is great. Filling. Prices are good. Service is great. I haven't been in a while but I always recommend this place I people. When I do go I treat it as a luxury. It's just that good. Small building with tables inside but the best in Baltimore when it comes to pit

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

If I am going anywhere near Baltimore I stop by for lunch. The only pit beef I've had that comes close to this is Hemp's meat out here in Frederick County and you can really only get that at the Great Frederick Fair. They ask you how you want your beef, anywhere from rare to well but don't be afraid and get at least medium because the flavor is top notch. Throw some onions and tiger sauce on it and maybe a dab of bbq. You will wish you had room for more. I agree with other reviewers on here that after you have tried the beef try some combos because the pit turkey and pit ham aren't to be missed either.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

I go to Chaps on a weekly basis, you can't get better pit beef in Baltimore than Chaps! Try adding different meats on you sandiwch and liven it up! Fries are homemade and fresh cut! best in Baltimore!
