What we liked:
*Being undersold on the wait time (only 20 minute wait for nice booth when advised over an hour wait)
*Having a text sent when our table was ready as opposed to the limited range pagers.
*Interesting musician memorabilia (we had an authentic army citation for Elvis when he lost his Military ID).
*Amiable service from hostess and waitress.

What was left on the table:

*Exorbitant prices for nominal portions. *The Twisted Chicken Mac n' Cheese was underwhelming; we both agreed that this dish could be easily replicated and improved for about a 3rd of the cost ($17 dish).

“Ok food, had better for cheaper”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2012

We walked out of Phillips because there prices were way too much...so we walked over to the Hard rock Prices were some what better than Phillips, buy way to much for Bar food. Should have went to a not so crowed place not down town. The service was also so so but it wasn't the servers fault he had to many tables to wait on. My advice would be try another place not in the inner harbor more low key.

“HRC down by the Barbour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2012 via mobile

HRC is a chain so we knew what to expect in terms of the menu. The location is cool, in a former power plant in the Inner Harbour area (be sure to check out the Barnes & Noble next door).

Our server took the time to find out what had brought us to Baltimore and to point out some of the highlights of their rock memorabilia on display. But then he forgot my beer until after our food had been brought to the table and made no attempt to explain.

Overall this was a slightly above average dining experience.

Despite the fact that HRC's website says they validate parking at Pier 5 "sometimes" and our serving telling us that if he wrote HRC on our ticket the parking lot would recognize it we got sneered at at the parking lot. I could have done without that. If you are going to offer to validate parking then make it clear what and when and make sure your staff know what is required.

“Overrated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2012

Just average food and drinks. It is definately designed for the tourists. Service is slow, but location is great.
