5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2012 via mobile

If you live in Maryland and you haven't been to Geckos, then you need to make tracks and get down to Southeast as quick as you can! Between the outstanding food or the kick a@$ service, this place can't be missed. You will immediately feel at home when you set foot inside this Baltimore landmark.

“Canton's Very Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

Where to start?! Almost 2 years ago my boyfriend and I went to Geckos for a first date and have been going back ever since. I have been with friends, family, and of course the b/f. Whether it's been a Tuesday night for Sangria a weekend night out or a Sunday brunch, everyone we have taken has been beyond impressed!

The food is delicious and the staff is always so friendly! It's a great atmosphere and I couldn't find one negative thing to say about the place no matter how hard I tried.

“Best Sunday Brunch in Baltimore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2011

I ended up going many times to Geckos. It's great Southwestern food in a fun, casual atmosphere. You get homemade tortilla chips (not the standard ones) and homemade salsa before your food. The food itself is great, tasteful and not expensive. But the best is their Sunday brunch!

TIP: Go to their Sunday Brunch (11am - 3pm)... It's $14... but for that it is ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet with great food and ALL YOU CAN DRINK Mimosas or sodas. When I was there they had fresh muffins, fruit, mexican style ommelet, enchiladas etc)

“This Place Just Makes You Feel Happy (Tequilla Bar Helps)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2011

WOW! I've lived near this place for about 6 months now and just walked in last weekend. Don't judge a book by its cover.
Layout of this place is amazing for a spot the size of a row house. Very open space
Juke box is the old CD flip type and it's stocked with just the right music to keep the desired vibe in the house. If you can't find something you love on the jukebox then you can probably consider it as a way of the house weeding you out.
Chips and salsa should be called something else because they are worlds apart from the "chips and salsa" that I think of when I see them on the menu. Shrimp was excellent, size of a child's fist and fresh.
But what really worked in this place is that it just feels right. I felt good from the moment I walked in until I stepped out. Met the owner and thanked him for such a nice place and became easy friends. He remembered me when I came back and we chatted as if we'd known each other for ever.
The crowd here is an older one. Established and laid back. The owner is clearly enjoying his company and making them happy.
Everything in this place was just right.
Brunch is awesome but this place is always crowded at the bar.

“Best place for Sunday Brunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2010

There is a limited menu selections on the buffet, but everything was very tasty. Great food, can't beat the price and it includes all you can drink Mimosa's. A must if you are in town on Sunday.
