This was our first time dinning at Gertrudes. We had come for brunch one other time and liked it very much so figured it was worth a dinner trip. We were not dissapointed. We started with the Can't Believe It's Not Crab Cakes zucinni fritters. They were crisp and yummy.
The wines by the glass were bargain priced and excellent. We started with Hubel Gruner Veltliner and then tried the Fourteen Hands Merlot. Both were around $7.50 or lower. For entrees we had the crab stuffed portabello mushroom and catfish. The mushroom won the best in show award. We both had dessert as it was a special occasion. I had the chocolate sampler with four chocolate goodies that were all great, and my wife had the ice cream and sorbet sampler. One of these days we will go back and check out the museum.
