My husband and I dined at Brewer's Art on a Friday night. We walked in without a reservation -- dangerous! -- and were lucky to be seated quickly. (I think another diner had not shown for THEIR reservation, and we were the beneficiaries!)
Our waiter was attentive and gracious. Having had a late lunch that day, we ordered light -- just salads, which were delicious -- and the waiter did NOT give us that scowl that waiters often do when you are taking up one of their tables and not ordering the most expensive stuff on the menu. He was terrific. We both ordered a couple of the different beers the place is famous for -- I really liked the stout, and my husband liked their Resurrection Ale so much that we took a six pack home with us!
The physical setting of the restaurant is gorgeous, a big old house on Charles Street, beautifully decorated. And the entrees of the other diners looked and smelled delicious enough that I know we will return another night when we are really hungry! As it was, we found appetites for dessert and shared an amazing fruit tart to end our experience.
