“Favorite Food on Canton Square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

I live two blocks from Canton Square and have eaten at all but one restaurant there, which I've yet to try. Plug Ugly's is my favorite...especially for lunch on the weekends. I've never had anything I didn't like and their warm homemade potato chips are delish! I also really like the historic feel/charm. My only warning: If you're looking for a quiet (or even average noise level) place to eat, I recommend that you plan to finish up by 6 pm because it won't be long before the 20-something crowd starts pouring in for cocktails. Not only does it get really crowded, it gets so loud that you can't even hear yourself think, let alone the person you might be with.

“A treat!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

Stopped in for lunch and what a treat! Food wonderful. The two of us had Maryland Steam Pot (on special that day for 1/2 price) - excellent. When my husband inquired about local microbreweries, waitress brought him samples of 3 to taste before ordering. Now that's special! I had a rum drink that I chose because someone else was having it and it looked wonderful - and it was. The place itself has great atmosphere. It apparently has a larger space upstairs and an outdoor area as well. If we were locals we'd certainly adopt this place as a favorite haunt.

“Finer than a normal pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012 via mobile

The inside of the place is really nice and classy looking. Not what you would expect out of a pub. The menu is also pretty fancy compared, but the prices are still good. Definitely recommend. All the food was good, especially burgers and sandwiches.

“Great Food, Great Service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012 via mobile

The food and service were excellent at Plug Ugly's! Mark took care of us and we could not have asked for better. We had the crab cake platter and he suggested we try a combination of the Maryland Crab soup and the Cream of Crab. Awesome!!! I definitely will make a return trip... So worth it!
