Federal Hill was a great "diversion"..a quick walk...from the Inner Harbor, and provided a fantastic view of the Inner Harbor skyline. The park itself was a typical open space, but the scenery and view added quite a bit to the atmosphere. There's a lot of history invovled with Federal Hill, but unfortuantely there isn't much to detail that history at the park itself. There was a lot more to learn at the Civil War Museum across the harbor and at the Inner Harbor Visitor Center, so I would suggest reading up on those history tidbits to get a better experience when visiting the park itself.
