We stayed for three nights with six in the family- two rooms. The staff was top notch and the concierge level was well worth it-- huge space, great food and nightly snacks and excellent breakfast.

The location is great as well as the entire inner harbor is walkable.

The hotel and rooms were perfectly clean.

Highly recommended.

Great location, beautiful property, outstanding service - what more could you ask for? I truly love this place, and whenever I travel to Baltimore for business, it is my top choice. The hotel is not located in the middle of the chaos of the Inner Harbor, but in a more quiet area with very easy access to all of the tourist traps. However, just on the other side of the hotel is Baltimore's Little Italy, with lots of wonderful family owned Italian eateries. The rooms in this hotel are great - very up-to-date and not cramped - the concierge lounge is great too!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the water - the views are WONDERFUL!

I stayed at the Marriott for three nights for a business convention, I have been to this hotel a couple of times over the last three years and it is consistently good.

We arrived about 2pm and our room was already available. We had great Marriott rates and were asked if we wanted a water view for an additional $40 a night. Since we would not be in the room much, it did not make sense to pay the extra, and the city view was just fine.

The strange thing that I always chuckled at was the front desk. It is a semicircle, so you more or less stand in the middle of the lobby waiting for the next person to call you. It works, but it's just a little strange..

They have a coffee 'cafe' I guess you can call it. They have danish and sandwiches and coffee and also a gift shop. The people that work there are not always that attentive. I was in line for coffee and when I got to the register to ask for a medium coffee, the girl walked away. She was about 5 feet away talking to two others about their schedule. I was just standing there wondering if I existed. I actually thought my schedule was a little more important because I was trying to get back to a meeting. Once is too much, but it happened twice in the same day. Not the best of customer service.

The restaurant has a buffet for breakfast along with regular meals. The buffet is phenomenal. If you can not find something good to eat there, then you are just not hungry. The cost was $16,95 a person. A little steep on average, but for the location, I think it's typical.

The rooms are very comfortable and I love the shower. I am actually thinking about buying the type of shower head they use there. I do have a few issues with the room. And overall, it's the same in many hotels.

First, they do not have an exhaust fan in the bathroom. That irritates me to no end, because you shower and everything steams up. If you are sharing a room with a friend, or business associate, you are probably not going to shower with the door open. So that is not great.

Second, they have a thermostat on the wall to adjust your room temperature. I always loved when a hotel has this feature. However, when your room comes to temperature, the fan just keeps blowing air. Why do they not make it shut off ? Constant dry air when you are trying to sleep is not conducive to a good night sleep.

Finally, they have their wonderful alarm clock with the snooze button on it. I am a person that needs dark to sleep. There is a switch on the clock to dim it, but it only dims the red numbers on the face. The snooze button is white and seems to have a 100 watt lamp in it that does not dim. So every night I had to unplug the clock so I could sleep. Good thing i had my alarm on my cell phone.

Internet. I will always think it is ridiculous that you have to pay I believe $12,95 a day for internet access. They say it covers calls too, but who does not have a cellphone ? This fee is just a money maker for them.

The grand ballroom is beautiful where the function was held. And we had a dinner there Saturday night that was excellent. The people that run the buffet and the waitstaff that clears everything are very professional and very efficient. The only downside was the cash bar had beer on ice, that was not put there early enough to get cold. So the first beer was more or less warm. But a minor thing to worry about.

Overall if you want a place that is in a perfect location to everything. Then this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: Try to keep your room away from the suites in case there is a party going on in one of them.

Stayed here with my family a couple weekends ago while my son was at Towson Honors College Orientation. Great location close to top notch restaurants, water taxi, Sea Dog boat ride and many major attractions within walking distance. Quiet location and safe area to walk around the neighborhood. Movie theater and Little Italy right around the corner. Will be back this weekend!

This hotel is top notch and well run. The employees ranging from Housekeeping, Front Desk, Restaurant, Doormen, etc. are highly customer service oriented. The room was impeccable and had beautiful views of Baltimore's inner harbor.

Room Tip: Request a room in the upper floors for the best views

Great stay and quick retreat from the hustle. Clean rooms, and wonderful staff. The food is ok, local restaurants are within walking distance. Recommend the Sunday brunch buffet.
