“The entire experience was better than getting a lollipop from the nurse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Traveling for medical reasons is, by nature, not a fun trip and It always brings trepidations to be on the road under those circumstances. Nonetheless, my wife I needed to travel to Baltimore this month for medical reasons (Johns Hopkins Medical Center) and we chose the Sleep Inn on Fallsway based on customer reviews, close proximity to the medical facility and price. On none of this accounts were we let down; in fact, the hotel is geared to this type of clientele (free shuttle service to Johns Hopkins) as well as business and tourist guests; in the latter instance, they are but a short walk to all of the restaurants and bakeries in Little Italy. BTW, while there, the management held a promotional happy hour one evening, with food and drink provided by several specialty restaurants. It was outstanding!

The welcoming lobby, the hotel's entire first-rate infrastructure, the daily breakfast, and aboveit all, the quality of each and every one of the can-do staff, all lent themselves to providing a stay well beyond our expectations. This is the place we will be returning to each time (for example, next month, boo hoo!) something medical is in store for one of us at Johns Hopkins. But, getting back to my title, that is why the nurse gives you a lollipop after the shot, right?

Room Tip: Because we were planning our second trip during this first one, I asked to see other rooms on two di...

Stayed two nights in first floor suite with 2 beds and sofa bed. The room was very large and the bathroom too. Everything was very new looking and clean. Only a couple of small complaints. The shower curtain in the walk in shower was too short for how high it was hung. Water sprayed out on the floor. Also, lighting in the room & bath is kind of dim for the size of the room. We loved the decorating in the lobby and breakfast room. Breakfast was fine with sausage, egg patty, waffles, cereal, fruit & yogurt.

Checked in on a Saturday of a beautiful weekend and even though the associate was busy she took her time to explain all of the area, maps, dining, features, and the inner harbor itself. The rooms are clean and modern and part of the new design that Sleep Inns are doing so I will only stay at Sleep Inn's that have that design package. The breakfast area is tight but had all of the standard items you would expect. Some guests sit and chat even though there is not enough seating at times but that is clearly not the hotel's fault as they cannot shoe away someone that might still be drinking their coffee or deciding on a last pastry but it does make it difficult to enjoy or even have a breakfast when that is the case. Easy walk to the Inner Harbor and I did notice that they had 2 security guards at FD and parking lot area so made me feel that they care about our security. The only issue I had was that my shower curtain was shorter than should be and so water would go on to the floor because the shower curtain could not catch and stay inside tub properly. But I would for sure stay again if I could not get something even closer to the harbor.

I recently stayed at the Sleep Inn on the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Location was fantastic, staff was professional and welcoming. This included the two dogs we were traveling with. Made our trip very enjoyable and provides a place I would definately stay at again.

Good walk to the harbor; staff are great and friendly (especially the morning people, the late night front desk must have woke up on the wrong side that day); the rooms are big and clean (i have 3 kids); and breakfast person was very accommodating. If I ever plan to go back to Baltimore i will come here again especially if you have kids.

Great budget hotel in a shady area of town. My Uber driver was full of warnings as he dropped me off. He pointed out a strip club, the city jail and "healthcare for the homeless" clinic. Don't walk around after dark, take a taxi everywhere. It is 5 blocks from the harbor.

We had a very spacious room on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel. It was lovely, quiet and clean. There's a free bus outside the hotel to the historic Thames Street area & to the Baltimore & Ohio Railway Museum. The staff were helpful & friendly. We walked around at night feeling quite safe. The streets of San Francisco were alot scarier by night.

Room Tip: Room at the back on the 4th floor - spacious & quiet.
