“Certain to Return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

My wife and I have stayed in Baltimore dozens of time over the past few years, hotels, inns and B&Bs. We both agree this was the best overall experience for proximity to attractions and restaurants. Parking is essentially on-site with no additional cost, as is usual for hotels. The breakfast(s) were tasty and not over filling. The inn keeper,Tish, was very accommodating to our needs. It is difficult to write this review without repeating all of the previous postings using the same "excellent and perfect" adjectives. So as not to be repetitive, we have already booked again for a spring trip and might squeeze in a third in between.

Room Tip: The Ella Virginia room is on the third floor. Very spacious main room and bathroom. Nice front stree...

A wonderful place to stay in downtown Baltimore! Tish, made us feel very welcome, she suggested a great place to eat the first night (The Corner Bistro & Wine Bar) just a couple of blocks away, which we walked to. The next day we planned to drive to Fort McHenry, and at breakfast that morning she handed us MapQuest driving instructions to get there. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay, very quiet at night, considering it is located right downtown. The room was very clean with private bath and other amenities, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast was great!!

My first trip to Baltimore for my boyfriends birthday. Had a great time and what a location. Close to the ballpark. We spent a day on the water taxi's exploring, met with family and made it to two! Red Sox games. Even though we lost the crowd was great and friendly. We could see the ballpark from our back room, home before the crowds got and could watch everyone leaving. Babe Ruth museum right around the corner in a great lil neighborhood. We also got great recommendations for the cute lil bistro in the neighborhood, excellant food/wine/staff and love the Spanish tapas place right on the harbor, 2nd floor.
May consider it our meeting spot for nearby family members! Loved it.

Perfect getaway retreat for me and my wife. Great room. Great service. Host accommodated my early meeting time by having breakfast specially prepared. Convenient parking. Perfect location to ballpark, convention center, inner harbor, Fells Point is short bus ride (which is free). Couldn't have asked for better. Will return on our next getaway to Baltimore.

We were among the first visitors to Rachael's Dowry, and we have been happy repeaters ever since. We chose it for its proximity to Oriole Park, but we return because we love it. Norman and Tish are wonderful hosts, and it's almost like visiting extended family when we check in and catch up with their lives.

Room Tip: By now we have slept in almost every room in the house, and they are very comfortable.

What a wonderful place to stay in Baltimore. Everything about my experience (my room, the B & B itself, the patio, the food, the owners) made my stay a memorable experience. Great location and Tish is a fountain of information about local sites, restaurants and coffee shops.

My Husband and I just returned from a weekend at this lovely B&B. First and foremost we have never stayed in a place with a more hospitable host in our life. Tish was just wonderful, from making reservations , to making sure we arrived at the train for the trip home, she goes above and beyond. I never imagined we would be so close to Camden Yards and still have a quiet nights sleep. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and relaxing. The breakfasts were just yummy and a perfect way to start your day. We look forward to our next trip .
