“Great location and value for the Inner Harbor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Loved this place! Decor was nice with the original brick of the previous factory. One of the nicer Fairfields I have stayed at. Location was great and better priced than the other hotels in the area. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. Marriott always has the pleasant scent throughout their establishments. Mattresses are a little more firm than I prefer. Breakfast was included. Will definitely stay here from now on when we visit the Inner Harbor.

Valet very slow with the keys, lackadaisical, poor service. Mattress soft and lumpy, otherwise, an OK place to stay. Best part of the hotel is the restaurant/cafe on site, and proximity to Little Italy. Will not stay there again!

In past years I had to stay at Fairfield Inns around the country for work and generally I wasn’t pleased with them. However, this particular Fairfield Inn is easily the best one I’ve ever stayed at. It seems to be new with extremely comfortable beds and linens. The bathroom had slightly modern decor. The service was prompt and professional. All throughout the hotel space was clean.

Off the main lobby entrance was a bar / restaurant that had draft beers and some excellent top-shelf liquor. The authentic crabcakes were delicious. The morning breakfast was standard.

All the Inner Harbor activities (sites, restaurants, shopping, etc.) were within easy walking distance. One negative was the parking - you had to pay for valet. Self-parking was at a garage a block away and was not really convenient.

For the price, this hotel provided an outstanding value and I easily recommend it.

I have stayed at the Fairfield Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor twice, both during the IndyCar races in Baltimore in 2012 and 2013. Given the hotels location, it is an excellent value and by far is the nicest hotel in the Fairfield brand family I've ever stayed at. It is priced a bit high for a Fairfiled but given its outstanding location it is a great value for this sort of event weekend. The hotel has a nice historical vibe and great bar downstairs. The rooms are not opulent, but they are clean and well-appointed. The only real issue I consistently had there was the performance and speed of the elevator. More often than not I took the stairs. Very slow. VERY. Rooms are slightly noisy but given the urban location that is to be expected. Decent breakfast and great staff. If you are looking for an alternative to the big boy hotels in the Inner Harbor, this is a great option.

My grandson, daughter, and I had to travel to Baltimore for an appointment at Johns Hopkins, to say the least , we were not on vacation. This is a very stressful time for us, and I was so pleased to have received such excellent service. This hotel was clean, the staff was so helpful, from the front desk staff, kitchen staff, taxi service, everyone one was so kind. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed in suite, very spacious and comfortable

My fiance and I ventured to Baltimore for a one night stay to head down to the Inner Harbor and Fell's Point. We got into town a little early, but nevertheless, the more than welcoming staff here allowed us to check into our room right away.

From the valet attendant to the front desk staff, we were delighted by the friendly atmosphere that we were greeted with. The hotel itself we were told was built into a structure that was once a local brewery - it had beautiful original brick accents and walls. The room was clean and sufficient to say the least. Nothing too fancy, but for a one night stay we did not plan to be in the room long at all. We got great recommendations from the valet attendant for a nice dinner, who quickly hailed us an upscale car service for only a few dollars more then a taxi- we went to Sullivan's Steak House, and had a great time! After dinner, we came back to the hotel and enjoyed the once again amazingly friendly staff behind the bar at the hotels sports bar. I honestly wish we remembered the wonderful girls name that was working that night! Truly a pleasant and real down to earth young girl to talk to and we had lots of laughter, especially since guests of a local wedding were also staying at the hotel and had ventured back to the sports bar that evening as well!

Overall, a great experience! My fiance and I agreed that whatever the Fairfield does to train it's staff members in customer service, is certainyl doing something right! We will certainly be staying again!

Stayed one night on business. Nice little sports bar in the hotel. Convenient downtown/ inner harbor spot. Not easy to get in and out of with a car, but it was a minor inconvenience.
$30 for parking valet. No self parking. Bed was extremely comfortable. nice, bigger "suite" room.
Decent free breakfast - hot and cold items. Would recommend this and stay here again.
