My husband and I traveled to Baltimore for an appointment at Johns Hopkins Hospital and had a confirmed reservation at this Inn for 2 nights. We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM and were told they had "overbooked" and could not give us a room. We booked the room on their own website, had a copy of the confirmation emailed back to us, but still were told they had "overbooked." I have traveled extensively in the states and abroad, and have never been turned away from a property due to "overbooking." Ridiculous, and stay away from this hotel since they are unwilling to honor their own reservation confirmations.

I went to the Admiral Fells in with my boyfriend and his family for the weekend, and was quite concerned after reading some of the other reviews. But upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. Fell Point is absolutely adorable, the water taxi is across the street and that is a great way to get to the harbor and other b-more sites.

I agree parking that is an issue, meters are 1.00 an hour and you can only do 4 hours at a time. Garbage parking is kind of a hike but is 5.00 a da on week days and 3.00 on weekends (not bad). Valet is expense...

We were in room 481 and it was wonderful, nice size huge bathroom, and very clean. The BF and I are planning to go back with out his family very soon!

Sneaky extra charges and lumpy beds

I was not informed when I cehcked in that there would be a 5 dollar per day charge for connectivity (the internet and the telephone, both of which I had carefully avoided using). The desk clerk said they were supposed to have informed me of the charge when I checked in, but they hadn't, nor had they explained it to the couple who were ahead of me in line when I was checking in. For a hotel that is already overpriced for what it is (yes, the location is great, but the bed was one of the lumpiest and uncomfortable I have slept on in my life, and the toilet ran intermittently and loudly all night long) I was annoyed at being charged extra for something I didn't even use.

I stayed at the Fell Inn for three nights on a weekend in the spring. I've stayed at many four and five star hotels, and didn't think the Inn would be very impressive. I was wrong! Even though our room was quite small (we had a Hopkins discounted rate room, so didn't expect anything huge), it was beautifully appointed with charming touches. The part that made the visit the most enjoyable was the amazing service at the concierge, check-in, and even the breakfast service down at the restaurant. Cider and hot chocolate were nice treats to come "home" to every day, and the location cannot be beat! The shuttle service was useful, although difficult to time and get scheduled correctly, but every effort was made by the front desk staff to accomodate our needs. On top of this, the ghost stories made our experience the most memorable. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again!

My family was delighted to see this quaint hotel in the middle of Fell's Point. We'd never stayed in that part of Baltimore before and were delighted with the neighborhood and had fun exploring the outdoor market across the street after we checked in.

First of all - the staff could not have more polite or helpful. Our rooms were charming and well appointed. The "experience specialist" went out of her way to help us with aquarium tickets and offered advice on parking and ways to save money. (leave your car valet parked with the hotel and take their shuttle - the only way to go!!)

The only complaint I have is THE NOISE. We were on the street side and listened to bar music and loud voices nonstop until 2 am. We were there only one night. Had we been there longer, I would have asked for an inside room in hopes of getting a better night's sleep.
