We checked in later than the internet check-in time and arrived at a room that had NOT been touched by housekeeping. Sheets were on the floor, glasses of soda scattered about, dirty towels and tub. We were asked to leave our things and come back in 1/2 an hour. One hour later we came back and the room was somewhat cleaner, but there was only one robe hanging in the closet, the people's things hanging on the back of the bathroom door were still there and the floor behind the door still had hair on it. Once in the king jaccuzzi tub, there was a green scum coming from one of the jets and settling as a ring around that 1/2 of the tub.

It's not mentioned on the website, but you pay for valet parking, there's no parking in Fells point, and the website states that it's an amenity, but it's a pricey one!

When you check out, be prepared to pay a fee for the priveledge of having a phone in your room. That's right, it's not part of the room charge, it's a separate fee on your bill. We did not use the phone at all and were charged an additional $5.00.

All this on top of a room rate of $259. plus applicable taxes.

My husband and I have been to many hotels, inns and B&Bs and this one is thoroughly disappointing.

Think twice before staying here - look elsewhere and choose something different. They charge a lot of money for a lot of nothing!

We stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn looking for a romantic getaway weekend. When making the reservation I chose a package that included chocolates in the bedroom, drinks for each of us at 4 different bars, breakfast and a jacuzzi in the room. The only good thing were the chocolates because they were Godiva.

No one in the reservations department told me that there was no parking and that valet parking was $19 per night. The room rate was $299 a night, and our room was extremely small, with inside windows, next to the elevators, and the jacuzzi was set up in an old looking bathroom, not appealing at all. I don't mind small cozy hotel rooms, but when I pay $300 a night, I expect better. The water in the shower was either scorching hot, or freezing cold, and we noticed there were hairs in the jacuzzi that were not ours!

We went to their restaurant (called True) for dinner. The waitress in-charged of serving water, greeted us rolling her eyes, and telling us what a long day it had been, and how fed up she was! We were carrying drinks from the bar, but the waitress did not bother to remove from our table the unused wine glasses. It took us more than 10 minutes to locate the spoon for the soup. The waitress left the empty appetizer plates in our table for more that 10 minutes after we were done. Our drinks were never refilled. The quality of the food was mediocre and extremely expensive. And the waitress took forever to bring our bill.

The bars where you can have the complimentary signature drinks are way outside Fell's Point neighborhood, which defeats the point of staying there. We walked under the rain for more than 20 minutes to get to the Power Plant (were the bars were located) and this area turned out to be a meat market for teenagers and college students. All the different establishments had lines outside the door, loud music and were jammed packed. This was not the concept they advertised on their website for a romantic getaway with complimentary drinks. We only used one coupon and returned to the hotel.

The breakfast next morning was also mediocre. Nobody bothered to serve us water, and the salt and pepper shakers in the table were empty. I had been told over the phone that the cheese selection and the breads were incredible. I only saw 1 loaf of regular looking bread, and cheddar and Swiss cheese on a table.

For the amount of money this night ended up costing us ($430 after parking fees, dinner, drinks and taxes) we could have had a wonderful weekend somewhere else. Never again would I recommend the Admiral's Fell Inn.

This is absolutely the worst place to stay in all of Baltimore. I've stayed at a number of places in Baltimore and wanted to bring my wife here for a nice getaway weekend. I wanted something special and went looking on the internet and found the Admiral Fell Inn. I thought the pictures looked nice as did the write up about the place. When we arrived we realized that parking was a big pain. I knew it would be but valet service was $25 or you could go 4 blocks down and park it your self for $15 per day. No come and go service there and valet was $25 everytime you took the car in or out. The lobby was nice but the front desk person seemed to be a bit rude to us.
The bellhop took us to the room. The room was tiny and had a weird smell to it. Like another writer said, we also had roach motels under the sink in the bathroom and under the bed (which wasn't under the bed when we arrived). I asked for another room because of the smell and the obvious roach problem in the room but wasn't able to get moved b/c they were booked.
They offer packages like roses etc. I ordered a dozen roses for something like $89 and they weren't even in the room when we arrived. I had to call down to the desk to find out where they were. When they brought them up, which ruined the surprise) 3-4 of them were browning. You can go to a grocery store and get 8 dozen for what they charged.
So we stayed b/c we had no choice. The room never lost the stench, we felt dirty in it after seeing the roach motels. It was loud (which can happen in Fells Point) so thats not the end all be all.
The next day we went looking around the quaint neighborhood which does have alot to offer and there are many great restaurants and bars and shops to visit. Fells point does have 2 bed and breakfasts that look really charming and that's where we plan on staying next time.
All in all I don't recommend the Admiral Fell Inn. It's dirty and smelly and the service was not up to par. It was aweful to say the least. Go to Fells Point.... just don't stay here!

We just got back from an overnight trip for our anniversary. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When the free shuttle was stuck in traffic and we had dinner reservations, the desk clerk gave us cash for a taxi! The shuttle picked us up after our dinner in 5 minutes. Our room (a king on the 2nd floor) was small but clean and beautifully furnished. I wouldn't stay there with my kids but it's a great place if you want to barhop, eat at nice restaurants or shop. Even though it was a weekday and the website said they would have a continental breakfast, we had delicious eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit and breads. The only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 rating is the mousetraps in the dining room (complete with dead mouse. I overlooked them because breakfast was included and better than expected but no way would I have eaten at "True". The waitress nicely explained that it was a very old building but I'm sure there's a better way to handle the issue.
