“Another excellent stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

This is our fourth time staying at the Admiral Fell Inn prior to embarking on a cruise from the port of Baltimore. The hotel offers a great cruise sand stay package which allows you to park your car, and not only receive a town car transfer to and from the pier, but also a 25.00 dining coupon and a 25.00 gc good towards a future stay.

Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We arrived just in time to enjoy the free Ghost Tour, which was fun and informative. After the tour we were given a complimentary drink in the tavern downstairs, a great spot for a drink.

The Admiral Fell Inn is located right across the street from a water taxi stop, very convenient to get to Inner Harbor sights as well as Camden Yard. Each room at the hotel is unique, with a plaque outside the room giving you a bit of history about Baltimore . There are also historical photos around the hotel, which are worth checking out.

There is complimentary shuttle service, which we used to get to and from dinner at La Scala in Little Italy as well as breakfast at Miss Shirley's one morning.

We are looking forward to our next stay!

kteacher19, thank you so much for leaving us another incredible review and thank you for your continuous patronage to our hotel. We're glad that our cruise and stay package worked out great for you and we hope you had a wonderful time on your cruise!

We always recommend guests go on our ghost tour. First off, it's free (who doesn't like that?!) and also a lot of fun! Many people don't realize the very rich history that our hotel and the Fell's Point area has. We see from your review that you added some great looking pictures. Thank you for submitting them!

We want to thank you for sharing your experience with us and the TripAdvisor community. Words cannot describe how much it means when patrons take the time out of their day to write a phenomenal review. We hope your realize how truly appreciative we are and know that this kind gesture doesn’t go unnoticed.

If we can ever do anything to accommodate you in a future future visit to our location, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here for you!

Lovely old hotel overlooking the harbour at Fells Point. The area is full of good restaurants, coffee shops and bars (don't miss Max's Taphouse just across the street - it has a choice of hundreds of beers). The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are full of character. Mine, on the second floor was large, had two double beds and overlooked the street, which was great for people watching and observing the boats coming and going in quay below. The hotel is not in the city centre, but is only about a mile from Harbour Place. The water taxis run from the quay across the road from the hotel and are a bargain at $12 a day.
Highly recommended

You're absolutely right when you say that Fell's Point has some amazing restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. That's what makes Fell's Point so great. There's so much to do, eat, and drink! Great recommendation on Max's Taphouse as well. We have a lot of patrons who mention how much they enjoyed going there.

My girlfriend and I already told our friends & family about this boutique hotel located in the Historic District of Fells Point, but I fealt compelled to write a review on our stay which still is fresh on my mind. When we arrived, the room was ready and cars were valet parked at 4:00pm as they promised. The rooms were very cosey and scenenary was beyond nice, festive & fun. The historic hotel delivered more than both of us ever imagined. The staff was the best I've seen in 25 yrs of traveling/hoteling. Mario, Hotel GM gave us a tour & history of the hotel & recommended both restaurants & entertainment (gave us vouchers for free admission at the (Houl At The Moon Piano bar). We took Mario's recommendation for late night social atmosphere & dancing at the Bond Street Social Restaurant just 1 block from the Hotel. He also had us shuttled to/from each destination. We've been to many Hotels & bed & breakfasts the past few years and this Hotel, the staff & the location are tops on our list now. My girfriend, Pamela said leaving the city "honey that was the perfect place & the perfect time". We will 100% go back and probably this fall. Mike & Pamela, Abingdon, MD.

Room Tip: like shoppers and city life in Georgetown like atmosphere then ask for view overlooking the streets...

Our room was so small that it was hard to maneuver around the bed. The desk chair didn't fit under the desk therefore creating more issues but biggest issue was the oversized tv stand amour that was less than 1/2 foot from the end of the bed. Our toilet ranned noisily. There's nowhere comfortable to relax outside at this hotel, which is a shame being its location. It would be so much better if it had a porch.

seekerofcomfort, we want to thank you for leaving your feedback from your recent stay at our hotel. We're very disappointed to see that you didn't enjoy your time at our hotel.

One thing about our property is that almost all of our rooms are unique in some way and almost no two rooms are alike. Had we of known that you were unhappy with your room during your stay, we would have most certainly worked with you to try and relocate you to another room.

We have passed along the comments that you made about the toilet in your room onto our engineering team so that they can look into the issue. We want to thank you for brining this to our attention.

We hope that despite this past visit, you'll give us another chance. If we can ever do anything for you, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you.

This charming inn feels like stepping back in time without giving up modern conveniences. It is in the heart of the historic Fell's Point neighborhood and offers shuttle service to the Inner Harbor and other destinations. It is a pet friendly location and the staff is great, especially Hakeem Kazeem who made sure everything about our recent stay was just right.

Overall the hotel is a bit shabby and needs an update considering the price.

That aside, our biggest issue had to do with the front desk manager. The room we were given had several stair steps without a handrail leading up to the bathroom. My wife occasionally sleepwalks and we were concerned about her safety with the stairs. We asked for a room change and management handled if very poorly. They seemed put out and couldn't find us an alternative room for the remainder of our 3 night stay. We were able to get another room for the the night, after much effort and pushing, and ultimately booked an another for the other two nights.

Booked the next two days at the Marriott in Harbor East. Much better experience. Will post a review for that property as well.

On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and I would love to speak with you concerning this matter.

I apologize for not responding to you right away but I wanted to speak to my front desk supervisor before contacting you. I want to first start by saying that there is not one thing in your review that I disagree with, you hit the nail right on the head. I have been the Hotel Manager here for 2 months now and I want to let you know that I had the initial feeling as you did when you walked in. However, I am proud to say that in the last two months, I have had contractors come in a tear out carpet an replace with new flooring in 32 of our 80 rooms. Also, we have re-done 4 bathroom floors. I have a very tight schedule and expect my entire hotel to be completely made over within 8 months. We are re-doing paint, tiles, floors, furniture, etc. In terms of the couches in the lobby, I can not discard them until my new ones come in. I ordered them last month but I bought 4 custom couches which will not be ready until October. I am also fixing the fireplace in the lobby to have a gas fireplace. I love this hotel, and all the people that work here. If you look at our reviews online, since I started in June, our TripAdvisor has continued to become more popular. We have had the highest customer service scores in the past two months then we have seen in years. We will restore this hotel to its proper boutique style appearance.

I apologize if our coffee station was explained as a continental breakfast. I offer a "coffee station" on the go for our guests and as of today I am proud to say we opened a new breakfast buffet in the stone room on the weekends which feature tons of food, including a waffle buffet with 9 toppings and an omelet station which is made to order.

I can understand if this experience has left a bad taste in your mouth, but sir, from the bottom of my heart I hope that you call me so we can resolve this issue. I take tons of pride in this hotel and want to make sure we offer each guest with a special guest experience. I would love to speak with you about future accommodations and compensation of your last stay.

I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.
