If I would have written this review before our stay at the Admiral Fell, I would have focused on how several of our guests struggled to get reservations despite us having a block of room reservations for our wedding that was not full. After our stay, the exceptional staff and accommodations that both my husband, I, and our guests received have wiped out any memory of the frustration faced before the wedding.
In particular, Sandy, who was working at the front desk the night of my wedding, was a gracious, lovely host and put an ear to ear grin on my face as she relayed stories of how excited my husband-to-be had been the previous evening, as he stayed at the Admiral Fell on the night before our wedding. She was a great help to those who checked into the hotel on Friday night, allowing my husband to chill out and enjoy his time with his friends, rather than getting stressed out by unloading our car and finding parking downtown.
The hotel was incredibly accommodating to all of our guests, at a great historic location that thrilled all of our out-of-towner friends, and we would be happy to stay there again. If I were to ever host an event there again involving a room block, I would probably be a bit more aggressive with the sales staff in ensuring that my guests were able to get rooms for the wedding, but once we got to the hotel, it was an exceptional experience.
