The Admiral Fell is chock-full of history and they have a ghost walk around the building and a ghost "sing along" in the lobby. I like that they have tea five nights a week. Breakfast is your standard hotel buffet. Plenty of choices buy nothing terribly innovative (juice, coffee, eggs, cheese, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, bacon, sausage, muffins, breads...)
Rooms are very spacious and clean (don't know why others called them dark and dingy - I didn't see that). Beds huge and comfortable. Bathroom nice and clean. Peeked into neighboring room and saw loft with jacuzzi.
Building is actually several buildings connected together. We were in one of the oldest parts.
One thing I didn't like - the $10 destination fee tacked onto the bill that paid for breakfast, local shuttle, two 20 once bottles of water (worth $2) and newspapers. Why not just roll it into price of hotel? We did use the shuttle, though, which took us to a hotel near the aquarium (really nice in the frigid January weather).
The location is AWESOME. The Fell's Point area is full of great restaurants and tons of bars. If outside noise bothers you, you may want to choose a different place - or ask for an interior room. The hotel itself is quiet and beautiful.
