I really do not understand the lukewarm reviews about this hotel. Our Pier V stay was very pleasant and above average. The hotel is located right at the Inner Harbor close to the Aquarium and Inner Harbor sites and entertainment. It is just a brief walk to the historic district of Fells Point and Little Italy restaurants. If you are going for a football or baseball game there are closer hotels to those venues. I booked the room through the hotel's own website and for high season in the summer for the property got a good value at $179 per night compared to other hotels in the area. We were promptly greated by the valet and bellman. The check in procedures were fine except a 4:30 pm check in is way too late. The hotel is decorated in a trendy fashion with large clean rooms with comfortable bedding and nice amenitites. We had a city view room, but still have a water view on our balcony that faced a coast guard ship docked at the next pier. There was a complementary chocolate fondue party at 5:30 pm. Breakfast the next morning in the hotel's cafe was delicious.

Enjoy yourself at the Pier V!

Very nice hotel... a little modern though (if you are into that)

Very nice hotel. Each night they serve free chocolate fondue and each morning they offer coffee and rolls. The only disappointment for me was the decor. It was very modern, but for some people it might be very likable. The only reason I gave this hotel 4 stars instead of five was because on the second night of my stay, a fire alarm was accidentally triggered at 4:45 in the morning. This included a very bright flashing light and a loud siren. After everyone had lined up outside the hotel and we were told everything was alright we returned to our room. Unfortunately, they were unable to figure out how to turn off the flashing strobe light in our rooms for another two hours. Otherwise, very nice.

Made reservations online, only nice thing about the trip was the harbor pass. The hotel is non smoking, very much needed, we have a daughter with special needs and respitory problems. Walked into the room and smelled cig. smoke. Told the front desk, the room was aired out and respaced the filter. The smell was gone but I worried about the air quality. THe view was not good, balconies are bars on the sliding glass door. Not a balcony in my book. The room was dirty, rug was stained, not vacuumed either. The bathroom was dirty, tub had pink growth around drain, bottom had a slip guard thing which had black dirt marks, needed to be replaced, floor was dirty in bathroom even had someone elses pubic hair, yuk. It was very hard to wash my girls and just felt gross. The hallway had a leak in the ceiling dripping down most of the day, next morning still dripping tried to walk around with flip-flops on, the carpet was sooo wet , my feet got wet, gross. The room was large which was nice but with the other problems just was not worth the money and really put a damper on our vacation. First time on a vacation that arriving home to a clean bathroom made me appreciate being home. Just not worth the $$$ for this hotel. Oh we booked thru myleisuretravel.com. The staff was nice but didn't seem like they had to much control over the facility. Nothing magical about this vacation, extra fees they don't tell you about get tacked on too, connective fee we never even used but everyone must pay. Oh and two of the resturants on different days had the air condition out. Not good in 90 degree weather. If we ever go again, we will check out the hotels that surrounded the area. We would never stay here again.

The Inner Harbor location is one of the best. Very close to everything. The lobby and rooms are trendy but not outrageous. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable -- and most rooms offer a view of the harbor. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It has a few very minor problems but none as serious as others have made them sound.

Paid $75 through Priceline. Room showed a little wear, but we had a nice view of the harbor and the hotel location is great. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
