Baltimore hotel prices (in the city center) are near $200 per night, so this little European-style boutique hotel at only $79 per night was a real deal! The hotel is very small -- in the style of many of the non-chain hotels we have stayed at in London. The room was older, nicely decorated in a baroque style, large and comfortable.
The continental breakfast was very limited -- basicly toast with jam and coffee or tea, however there is only one resturant in walking distance and they do not serve breakfast.
Staff appears to be mostly part-time college kids who were helpful with driving directions but are not as polished as a major hotel chain front desk staff. There is limited hotel parking for $12 a night however when we were there the streat paking in front of the hotel was always available -- may be a problem when the nearby Hopkins University is in session.
If your expecting a Hilton this is not your hotel -- but if you enjoy a small "bed and breakfast" experence you'll be happy at the Hampton Inn.
