Just finished my first of two nights at HI-Baltimore. For $30/night, for just two nights, it'll do. My first hosteling experience was HI-Santa Monica, which was amazing in so many ways...so I'm totally spoiled. The building is old and beautiful, but the en-suite bathroom was cramped. The guests were nice for the most part. Really like the common room. Kitchen kind of cramped...but, hey, this is an old building.
So its fine for a weekend or so, but I would plan for something nicer if you're planning on staying more than just a night or two.
