“Work trip and first time in the States - breakfast amazing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

This was my first trip to the States so I didn't really know what to expect but I was looking forward to it. The hotel is not one I would really choose to stay in as a leisure traveller as it was more geared up for Business but then again it is a convention hotel.

That said, the room was big and comfortable, staff were really friendly and attentive and the breakfast was amazing (but this could be because I am not use to the America way of breakfast - so many choices), I really enjoyed it.

If you're a baseball fan, a cool feature of the hotel is that it overlooks the Baltimore Orioles stadium so when I game is on I can imagine it's the hotel you want to be in.

The hotel also had a nice spa which I enjoyed an early morning swim in.

Thank you so very much for your review on Trip Advisor. We are glad that overall your stay was satisfactory and that we were able to accommodate a nice room for you. We appreciate your feedback in regards to our friendly and attentive team members and we are excited that you enjoyed an "amazing" breakfast with us as well. As you mentioned, we are adjacent to the convention center; but also our hotel’s enjoys an ideal location. We are just across from the Camden yards with great views of Baltimore, and within walking distance of many family attractions as well, such as: the First Mariner Arena, the Inner Harbor, and the Ravens home base. Although the Hilton Baltimore is also conveniently attached to the Baltimore Convention Center, we do enjoy having many families stay with us as well.

We thank you once again for your positive feedback and look forward to welcoming you back.

This is a good spot if you are attending events at the Convention Center.

The highlights were:

- The rooms & staff. They are well maintained and the staff was very helpful. Its clear this is a newer hotel based on amenities and wear and tear. But beyond that, the hotel felt very well maintained.
- Skyway access to convention center
- Decent connected bar & restaurant
- Good exercise room
- Some rooms have view of Camden Yard (including the field)

To begin with, you've never seen uglier elevators. Yes, I know, ugly elevators never killed anyone but there's always a first time...

Second, the in-room internet runs at 1990s speeds, even though it is a hard-wired ethernet connection (that you pay extra for, I might add).

Take those two items away and you've got a fine convention hotel, very clean and quiet -- for street noise if you face the convention center as opposed to Pratt Street, though you can hear adjacent rooms. And convention-goers who don't get out much tend to make a lot of noise in their rooms.

It is also a very easy enclosed trip to the convention center, and is also near the light rail to the airport (only $1.60, speaking of 1990s), in case you are on a budget.

I went on hotwire for this and found the value to be outstanding -- a 4-star hotel at a 2-star price.

Room Tip: face the convention center -- much quieter.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for sharing your Hilton Baltimore experience on TripAdvisor.

We have shared your comments with our team and we apologize that you experience some opportunities with the internet in your room. Please know that we enjoy a beautiful and new hotel and It is unfortunate that you found our elevators a bit uglier; nonetheless they are indeed pretty safe.

While the Hilton Baltimore is also the only hotel connected by an enclosed, temperature controlled sky bridge to the Baltimore Convention Center, and we do hosts several City wide conventions. We are also glad that of our location, which is very convenient to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, 1st Mariner Arena, the Light Rail - serving Thurgood Marshall/BWI Airport, M&T Bank (Home of the Baltimore Ravens), University of Maryland Medical Center as well as many other attractions, businesses and nightlife in Baltimore, allows families to choose the Hilton Baltimore as a destination for fund and relaxation as well.

Thank you again for your feedback and look forward to discussing your stay in further detail if the opportunity allows itself.

I had a nice overnight stay at this Hilton right across the street from the Orioles Camden Yards. It was quiet and clean (almost too clean like a hospital) and it is linked to the Convention Center. My only complaint was that I think Snoop Lion's (Formerly Snoop Dogg) cousin was staying somewhere near me because the Hallway was filled with the aroma of Chronic drifting through the air. I only called the front desk not to report it but I guess someone had broken a few glasses in the hallway and the floor was covered with broken shards of glass (not grass). I would recommend this Hilton and will stay here again.

Stayed at the Hilton for one night while attending a conference at the Baltimore convention center. Hotel was clean, very quiet, had an excellent exercise room and lap pool which was great to use after sitting all day. Major advantage of this hotel is that there are enclosed walkways all the way to the convention center so if the weather is bad you never have to go outside. It is also walking distance to the Lexington market but the opposite direction from the Inner Harbor from the convention center but still very walkable. Best of all I was only charged for one day of parking since I only spent one night at the hotel so altogether paid $28 for 2 days of parking which is great for that area. Only complaint was the sink didn't drain very well. Didn't eat in hotel.

The Hilton is a good choice for downtown Baltimore. My room overlooked Camden Yards and it was a short walk to the Inner Harbor area. The staff was pleasant, rooms were immaculate, and the overall facility was great. My only reservation is that hotel was almost too sterile. The large lobby area felt functional and not comfortable or inviting, and there were not the little touches like ice water or coffee available in the lobby. There is a small bar there, but it felt exposed and the restaurant was in a different building. These comments at be a little harsh, but it just had a very corporate feel and lacked personality like some of the best Hiltons. You will definitely enjoy your stay here.

Room Tip: A few of Camden Yards is wonderful

Everything was great except that we wanted to order a movie and even after calling down to the front desk and a tech coming up to the room and switching out the remotes there was something wrong with the tv. It was close to the harbor and we enjoyed our stay!!
