“Great Hotel for Baltimore Running Festival & Raven's Game”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

My husband & I did the half marathon as part of the Baltimore Running Festival & went to see the Ravens play the next day. When we started looking for a hotel, we discovered that the Hilton was well located for both events & decided to book a room for the weekend. It ended up being the ideal location & we were thrilled. We had no idea just how convenient it would prove to be!!

Upon arrival, we parked in the garage. Although the rate was high in my opinion, I like that the garage is connected to the hotel.

The staff at the front desk were friendly & we were able to check in at 2:30 even though check in didn't officially begin until 4 p.m.

Our room was clean and though it wasn't big, the space was well laid out and organized. We were on the 8th floor and had a view of Camden Yards and M&T Bank stadium from our room which was very fun.

Friday night we were able to walk to the Health & Fitness Expo at the stadium to do packet pick up for the race. So convenient. After dropping off our packets at the room, it was just a short walk to inner harbor for dinner.

On Saturday morning, we were delighted to discover we could see the marathon start from our window. We enjoyed watching the marathon from the warmth of our room while we waited for the half marathon to start. When it was time to go, it was a short 1/2 mile walk to the start line. When we were done the race, the hotel was very close to the finish - we were soon able to get back to the room for showers and rest!

That evening, we walked right outside of the hotel to take light rail to have a celebratory dinner with friends at Woodberry Kitchen.

On Sunday, it was just a short walk to the game.

Overall, our stay was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One time we had to call housekeeping to bring more supplies, and they were at our door within minutes.

The front desk seemed a bit short staffed. It was a VERY busy weekend in Baltimore. Many Baltimore Running Festival participants were staying at the hotel. We also noticed a lot of Dallas Cowboys fans and later saw the Dallas Cowboys players as they left the hotel to load onto the team bus. There were two times when we tried to call the front desk and the phone rang for several minutes before someone answered. When they did, they were helpful, it just took a while to get help sometimes.

I recently was in Baltimore on business and stayed at the Hilton Baltimore and thought it was fabulous. It was extremely clean and the staff were great. I checked in and immediaely the man checking me in upgraded my room because of my loyaly status at the Hilton. My room overlooked Camden Yards. WHAT A VIEW! I always check the cleanliness of my room when I check into any hotel and it was spotless. I was very pleased and will stay here again on my next trip to Baltimore.

Stayed recently for a couple nights, one of them fortunate enough to be an Orioles playoff game. The views from the upper floors (odd numbers) were indeed priceless. Able to watch the game from room window and MNF on TV at the same time! The room is standard for higher level Hilton property - bed was comfortable, room was clean and spacious enough. There's a number of good properties in Inner Harbor area and this one deserves consideration - though it is a further walk to IH than some others.

Room Tip: Higher Floors (14+), odd numbers, have views into Camden Yards (Center Field/LF) which may be of val...

I attended a conference Oct 2-5, 2012 and stayed at the Hilton Baltimore. The service from each staff member was excellent. This is worth noting as there were thousands of people at this conference and I'm sure the hotel staff was quite busy. I had most of my contact with the folks at the front desk . They were knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. The rooms and ammenities were high quality and the overall experience was great. I ate breakfast at the Diamond Tavern twice and also had a good experience there.

Room Tip: There are great views of Camden Yards from some of the rooms, if you're a baseball fan.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for sharing your Hilton Baltimore experience on TripAdvisor.

We appreciate your feeback and we are pleased that our product and location are deserving of the highest rating you could provide. Our location is second to none, as the Hilton Baltimore is the closest full service hotel located next to Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T Stadium (Home of the Ravens). The Hilton Baltimore has direct and the only enclosed hotel connection to the Baltimore Convention Center, a short distance to 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and many other attractions. In addition, we have both Charm City Circulator stop at the entrance of the hotel as well as the MARC Light Rail stop that brings and takes you to Thurgood Marshall/BWI Airport.

Thank you again for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Hilton Baltimore.

The diamond tavern on the property is not a great choice. The gym is great and the pool is awesome but you'll need eye protection. 10 Minute walk to the inner harbor $9 cab ride. The train muesum is not good for small kids and very pricey. Rooms are good and its easy in-out to the free way.

Room Tip: 1800 overlooking the ball field. Stay away from the elevators. 1801 is a great room

Hotel location, staff and aesthetics/decor were all good. I was slightly disappointed when I called room service and asked to order a soup from the full restaurant menu, but was told the only options were on the in room dining menu (or I could come down to the restaurant).

Gratuity and service charge were 22% of the total bill. The disclaimer stated 16% was gratuity with the remaining 6% an administrative charge. However, hotel charges an additional $5.00 in-room charge -- which was a first for me, and seemed quite high.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors and higher odd numbers (51 and higher) overlook Camden Yards and have goo...

Thank you for providing feedback on your stay at the Hilton Baltimore.

Please accept my most sincere apologies for your recent experience with our in room service. We pride ourselves in providing a superior experience but do appreciate hearing when we fall short of this. I am once again sincerely sorry for the response you obtained, we should have accommodated you ordering the soup from the full menu, which is not different from the options of the in room dining menu; and we are very appreciative for the feedback and for recognizing our great location.

Please accept my most sincere apologies and I have send you a separate communication through trip advisor with the hope that you gave us the opportunity of turning this experience around and showing you the true level of service that we are known for.

Best regards,

Hilton Baltimore

Stayed at the Hilton during family weekend at local university. We usually stay in Towson or if downtown the Kimpton. We selected the Hilton because of its location to Camden Yards (Family weekend included baseball game) and it is a pet friendly hotel. Parking costs $28.00 per day for self park or $40.00 per day for valet. The parking garage is located immediately to the right of the main entrance on W. Pratt Street. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The hotel appears relatively new and the rooms are in good to very good condition although they are on the small size. I had an issue with the shower pressure but I fixed it by pushing the black shower nozzles by hand back into the shower head. The location is great-a 10 minute walk to the inner harbor. Convention Center and Camden Yards next door and you can walk to Ravens stadium. All in all we had a very pleasant stay at the Hilton Baltimore and would return in the future.

Room Tip: If you are staying at the Hilton during a baseball game, go to the forth floor and just outside the...
