We stayed at the Henderson's Wharf Hotel for two nights. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had in a hotel. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. All parts of the hotel are lovely, from the lobby to the courtyard, hallway, and of course, the room itself. It had the nicest (not largest) bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel with what had to be nearly brand new fixtures and a gorgeous sink / bowl unit that I've seen at Home Depot for several thousand dollars. The decor in the rooms feels more like a bed and breakfast. We had a courtyard view room as all the harbor view rooms were booked. There is coffee and tea available all the time and a really luxe continental breakfast every day. The location is very quiet but still convenient to all of Fell's Point and to the Water Taxi stop.

My only caution is that this is a hotel / condo combination. All condos are on the upper floors so all hotel rooms are on the first floor. Either view you choose (harbor or courtyard) is lovely, but with the curtains open you have really no privacy. The courtyard is limited to hotel guests, but the harbor view faces directly onto a public pier / sidewalk so you will get people walking by your room exactly at your eye level. So...just be aware!

I really can't say enough good things about the Inn at Henderson's Wharf. My husband surprised me with a trip to Baltimore for my birthday last month and our stay at the Inn was the highlight. We couldn't have found a more perfect spot for a romantic weekend getaway.
Built in a former tobacco warehouse, the Inn itself simply oozes charm and ambiance. And from the moment we arrived we were treated to outstanding service as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Kelly, at the front desk, checked us in early and found that her "favorite" room was available. It was a huge corner room with views of the marina and the harbor on two sides. The exposed brick walls, the king sized feather bed, the decor, the fresh flowers...everything added up to a wonderful setting. In addition a complimentary bottle of champagne was delivered later that day. I didn't think it could get better.
But it did. The breakfast buffet is simply awesome. Ideal for anyone who wants to eat healthy. It was a sumptuous display of fruits, pastries, cereal, yogurt, cheeses, crackers, hardboiled eggs and juice as well as coffee or tea. I loved it.
The Fells Point neighborhood is quaint and full of pubs and cute shops as well as great restaurants. And it's only a short ride by water taxi to the Inner Harbor.
Everything about our stay was fantastic. The accomodations, the service and the location. If you are looking for a unique, one of a kind, inn with all the ammenities, the Inn at Henderson's Wharf is just the place. We can't wait to return!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. The location of this hotel is great, right on the water in a quiet area of Fells point, two blocks away from restaurants/bars. The continental breakfast was great. They do have free parking, a definite advantage if you are driving from out of town since parking can be expensive. Our only complaint was that the beds were too soft and the pillows were too hard.

Having read many of the previous reviews about the Inn, I reserved a room there when I recently stayed in Baltimore and can agree with almost all of the previous reviews. The room was spotlessly clean, the decor was very plush and inviting and the staff were outstanding, particularly Kelly, who was unfailingly cheerful and helpful.

The breakfast buffet wasn't quite as large as I had expected and the lack of a dining room caught me by surprise, but the foyer has enough chairs and tables to cope with the guests that don't want to eat in their rooms. The buffet itself was, however, more than adequate and enabled me to eat a good healthy breakfast each morning - probably doing me some good over what I might have eaten had a more extensive cooked buffet been available!

My only negative observation was that I had not realised before checking in that the Inn rooms were all on the ground floor, with residences on the upper floors. This meant that I had a room with windows next to the front door and looking out at the marina. Whilst this was a nice view, I felt a little uncomfortable that people could look into my room whilst walking past on the pavement and therefore kept my shutters closed whenever I was in the room. Fell St is quiet enough that I didn't feel unsafe at any time, but I would probably try to book a courtyard view room in future.

Overall I had an extremely enjoyable stay and wouldn't hesitate to book there again if I was back in Baltimore. I would also recommend it to anyone who wants to stay somewhere with a bit more character than the normal bland hotel chains.

I stayed with some friends last weekend, and we are now all raving about Henderson's Wharf. The Inn is the ground floor of a larger building, with private residences on the other floors (they have a separate entrance). I was skeptical about that at first, but quickly got over it: the room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and immaculate; the same is true for the bathroom. Four women were able to share this room with no problem! Nice harbor view, and the continental breakfast was much better than you get at most places - a great selction of fruits, juices, cereals, yogurt, etc,; the staff was friendly but not in your face, and the location was great. There are many restaurants and bars close by, and the Inner Harbor is a short taxi or decent walk away. We ended up here b/c the Inner Harbor hotels were too pricey, and we were so much better off. Oh, and free parking in a secured lot that you can easily get in & out of as many times as you need: you can't get that everywhere.
