My husband and I spent two nights at IHW last week, and it was absolutely wonderful! This is the fourth time we've stayed here, and though there were some problems with our January visit, this time everything was as perfect as our previous experiences have been.
Shortly after we noted our disappointment with our last visit, we were contacted by Brett Henry, the manager of IHW. He took our concerns very seriously and extended an offer of a free night's stay. We opted to stay an additional night, and we were so happy we did.
Our room overlooked the water which only added to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable - truly a haven.
The wine and cheese hour was very nice, and the continental breakfast was delicious. The fruit was fresh and plentiful, there were bagels and whole grain breads with a choice of three spreads, Greek yogurt, oatmeal, and cereal. My favorite is the cranberry breakfast bread; it is addictive! Coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day, and Raymond, whom many have mentioned in their reviews, tracked down plain Lipton tea for my husband (who does not care for the lovely flavored teas available) and brought it to our room at 10:00 PM!
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Raymond is. From the moment we walked into the lobby until we checked out, he was a cheerful, warm and welcoming presence, genuinely kind and caring. He is a gem, and his smile (in the words of the Temptations!) is like sunshine on a cloudy day.
Visit the Inn at Henderson's Wharf. Relax, recharge, and enjoy every minute of your stay at this lovely hotel.

We are grateful that you gave us another opportunity to make up for the complications that you experienced during your previous visit. We aim for perfection but recognize that sometimes we make mistakes. That being said, when we are made aware of such things we try our absolute hardest to make things right for our guests.
