Bring all your out-of-town visitors, this is a not to be missed experience, well worth the price of admission.
Watch the well-done video in the visitor center which explains the events leading up to the Bombardment of Ft McHenry. When the drapes part at the end of the presentation, and you see that giant flag waving over the Fort in real life, I dare you not to get choked up.
The staff at the visitor center is very polite and knowledgeable about that time period. The ramparts are good for active visitors. Many pieces of the battery are still there, so you can visualize the cannon and shells firing. The living quarters are worth a peek.
