“We loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

Spent 2 - 3 hours here with my 14 and 15 year old girls. We started with Sponge Bob in 4D which was absolutely brilliant, had us all laughing out loud. It was only 10 minutes long but so funny.
We then did a complete tour of the aquarium. I can't say we spent ages reading everything but we looked into all the tanks. Loved the set up of the Blacktop Shark Reef. Walking down the middle of the tank was a really unusual set up and made this aquarium different from others we'd seen.
Our favourite part was the jellyfish. They were brilliant. The dolphin tank was poor - apparently they don't do shows anymore but you might be lucky enough to catch an unadvertised training session.
I'd definitely recommend a visit. It wasn't cheap, but you know that before you start!

“Christmas Eve Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Being from MD, I've been to this aquarium many times. It really is a nice aquarium, but I want to warn anyone going on Christmas Eve about something that happened to us. When I knew we'd be going Christmas Eve, I called ahead to see if they had shortened hours, which they verified they did: they would be closing at 2pm. So, knowing that the aquarium requires about 3-4 hours to go through, we made sure to get there early in order to get through everything before it closed. HOWEVER, they failed to tell us (and they also didn't have any signs inside the building, nor did the information desk offer us this information) that the DOLPHIN side of the aquarium would be closing at 1pm. So, not know this, we went through the first wing of the aquarium without problems. Then, around 12:45 pm, we started to enter the dolphin wing where we were met by an employee not allowing anyone to go through. We, as well as many other visitors, were totally upset. We had our three (under 10 years old) granddaughters with us, and they came mostly for the dolphins to begin with. Well, there was practically a riot of people complaining enough that the young employee stepped back and let the visitors to in anyway (not wanting to risk his life LOL). We had to rush through at every point (a whole wing in 15 minutes!!!) The girls (thank goodness) got to at least see the dolphins in their tank from underwater for about 5 minutes before we were asked to leave. Needless to say, we were all really ticked off. But, don't expect to be able to get any satisfaction out of the aquarium system for a refund, apology, or free tickets for another visit. In fact, go on their website, and you'll be lucky to find a place to send a message. I sent an email to the contact area, and I've never heard a peep out of anyone. I doubt if anyone even monitors what comes into the contact us email. Anyway, this is one day out of the year. Otherwise, I'm sure your visit to the aquarium will be great. Just don't go Christmas Eve, or make sure you question the people at the aquarium thoroughly before you enter!!!

“Baltimore Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

What a great museum. All of the displays were well thought out along with the theater presentations. We took a separate behind the scenes tour and that was very informative and fun.

“Awesome as Always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

My son was 7 years old the last time we visited the aquarium. Now he is 13.5 years old. We had a great time. They have some new exhibits, still lots to see. Hung out watching the dolphins which was very relaxing. This is THE aquarium to see. Prices are expensive at $35 per person even for a 13 year old but its worth it. My son said he'd return again. I am hopeful to go back before he is an adult, we have such good memories of this place. Highly recommend.
