“Good food / Better service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2010

Great place for pizza. Try to order in advance though.
I only wish it was open on Sundays as the last time we were in FD we made the mistake of trying to dine at The Chuck Wagon. It was the worst waitress/ service I can ever remember. We ended up driving 100 miles to Monahans and ate at the Huddle House. instead. So come on Murphy's, give us some Sunday Service hours. Please!

“Pretty decent...especially compared to my other dining experiences in FD”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2010

Friendly service. Salad was good, pizza was better than average, and prices were reasonable. After pretty awful experiences at Hotel Limpia (mainly service, not food), Cueva de Leon (again awful service), and The Chuck Wagon (slow and didn't even get what I ordered), this seemed like a five star dining experience in comparison.

“Crust to Die For!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2010

Ate lunch at Murphy's on April 9th, 2010. What a terrific pizza. We normally dislike thin crust but their crispy freshly made crust was some of the best pizza I have ever had. Talked with owner, super nice and friendly. Simple place full of locals at lunch time - always a good sign!

“Outstanding Pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2009

Our extended family had lunch at Murphy's before checking into The Hotel Limpia during our family vacation in and around Fort Davis. We were tired and hungry, and we had 4 cranky kids who were ready to eat. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, a veggie pizza, salads, and spaghetti. The salads were fresh and flavorful, and our 10-year-old said the pasta was really tasty. But we were all overwhelmed by the pizzas! Super thin crust, perfectly cooked, with a variety of really fresh and tasty toppings. We talked about the pizza several times during our trip--the next time we are in Fort Davis, we will definitely return to Murphy's.

“yummy, pet-friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2009

I had a fabulous sandwich--don't know if it was the mountain air, but it was absolutely delicious! Sat on the porch in the midst of a brief summer shower--heavenly. Plus, they allowed my dog to sit on the porch with me. Since every staff person came out one by one to say hello, I have to assume they are dog-lovers. This is another plus in my book.
