“Go somewhere else”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

The best thing about Rogue Ales Pub is the view. The restaurant sits over the beautiful Columbia River and affords fantastic views of river traffic and scenic Washington side of the river. If you've got all day to enjoy the great view and are okay with abysmally slow service and "meh" food at best then this is your restaurant! During my recent visit, the server quickly came over to the table and gave us a menu, pointed out the list of brews on tap and informed us what was not available and then we didn't see him for the next 20 minutes. The restaurant did not seem all that busy and we weren't in any rush so we chose to stay. We placed an order for two pints and a cup of soup all of which arrived in a timely fashion and then we didn't see our server again. The soup was lukewarm and we left it on the table unfinished. Our server nowhere to be found. We finally ran out of time and went up to the bar to pay our bill. Our server wordlessly handed us our ticket which we paid. He didn't ask us how anything was so we didn't say anything. We didn't leave a tip and have no plans to return.

“Lunch on the River”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

Stopped for lunch, lovely day so we ate outside. Beer selection was excellent, very willing to bring you a sample before ordering. Ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos....actually very good....comes with four tortillas and the makings for tacos....you make your own. Side of chips. My wife had the black bean /quinoa salad....delicious. The place also caters to dogs....we're not dog owners but was nice to see the acceptance....even had dog items on the menu. Service was not that attentive but passable. Overall a pretty nice place.

“Slow service and mediocre food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

View and location on the river in an old packing house is outstanding. Everything else went downhill from there though. Our waiter was slow and scarce. Food was slow to arrive and mediocre at best. Didn't really care for the beer even. They were out of a few of the better sounding options. Much better options in town.

“Go Rogue!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

One of the highlights of our trip to Oregon was a visit to the Rogue Ales Public House. We were visiting relatives who are really into craft beers as it seems most people are in this area. Driving out on the pier and viewing the Columbia river was amazing. Unfortunately, there were no seals that day but they are supposed to be all along the river there. Also, this is a converted Bumble Bee cannery with what could be described as a small museum to the former fishing and canning in this area. It is pet friendly. Follow the faded pink and blue footprints to the restrooms. The ladies room is the same as it was back in the canning days...that was an experience! We had lunch, which would probably come under the bar food description. But, quite obviously, this place is known for it's beer, ale, cider and more listed on a huge blackboard. Thankfully, our waiter made what proved to be excellent suggestions according to what each of our party was looking for. Also, he brought us tastings. It was a memorable afternoon!

“Great beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

Such a neat location, with 20 plus beers on tap what more can you ask for?
The pier itself deserves a walk around and just going to the bathroom means you have to follow the blue or pink line...
