The ship inn is consistently good for fish and chips. We eat here occasionally when we are looking for deep fried fish, and my wife says the English specialties are always good. The service sometimes seems a little slow, like not enough waitresses to cover the place, but the food always comes out so hot you have to wait a minute to eat it. The view of the river is great, only matched by a few other places in town. Not a cheap place for fish, but you do get a large serving. The clam chowder is one of the best, and this is from a guy that has been searching for the best chowder in the northwest for years, it's thick, creamy and full of flavor.
