“Great stay at Cannery Pier”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay last week at the Cannery Pier. Location on the water is as good as advertised. You can see REALLY big ships going by right out your window. Bed was very comfortable. Room was extremely clean. They were kind enough to give us a complementary bottle of Sparkling wine for our anniversary. Neatest thing was the bathroom. Separate door for the toilet, lots of room for both of us to our morning getting ready at the same time. That's a big deal when your wife is slow at getting ready (like mine might do from time to time). We had minimal staff interaction, but what we had seemed friendly and cordial. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our was about the least expensive, but it was water view ( I believe all the rooms are).

I was not prepared for such a fine hotel in this somewhat remote town. It is obviously well-managed; what makes it most special, of course, is the dramatic view of the river and its freighters passing before you as they go out to sea or enter the Columbia River. Stay there. You'll like it!

Set right on the waterfront rooms overlooking the amazing bridge and Columbia River what could be better. Rooms are extremely spacious with superb bathrooms, showers, small balconies and all usual facilities. Hotel has many complimentary things, all day coffee, afternoon wine tastings, bicycles, lift into downtown in vintage vehicles. Staff are knowledgable and extremely helpful and friendly. Wish all hotels were as good as Cannery Pier, great value, wonderful two days in comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. I don't think you could fault this hotel on any points.

We stayed Aug. 19th & 20th, 2013 at the Cannery Pier Hotel in Astoria, we celebrated our 58th Anniversary on the 20th. Dan, the hotel Manager went out of his way to make our stay very memorable, Providing a bottle of Champagne in our room upon our arrival and then arranging for a bottle of late harvest Zinfandel delivered to our room the day of our anniversary. The afternoon wine and salmon happy hour was very good. All of the staff were very helpful and attentive. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting superior service and an excellent room with a view of the Colombia River. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well, very quiet Hotel.

Room Tip: Every room has a small balcony overlooking the Colombia River and a fireplace.

We stayed here in June for 1 night and my only regret was not staying longer!!! The room was beautiful with its own fireplace and spectacular view of the Columbia River. The staff is attentive and very helpful in choosing restaurants and sites to see. I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to get back to Astoria and stay at the Cannery Pier!!!

Very nice hotel with a great vibe!
The rooms clean and very comfortable and the view is terrific. They will drive you to town for dinner if you want!
Their spa is also very nice with plenty of offerings.
A bit of a splurge but well worth it in one of our favorite coastal towns in OR!

Astoria turned out to be a really interesting place to stay. The hotel, all rooms had excellent views over the Columbia River. The rooms were furnished to a high standard, light and airy with a gas fire and a bathroom where you could still admire the views. Happy hour with nibbles went down well. Even though there was no restaurant a complimentary breakfast was provided and a vintage car to take and collect you from a restaurant of your choice for your evening meal which was pre booked for you On our visit to this part of the U.S.A. Washington and Oregan, this was by far the best hotel and the staff were helpful and friendly

Room Tip: I believe all are excellent
