“must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

Great museum and demonstrations. Lewis and Clark history comes alive. Also can go out for free when signing up for kayak or canoe trips with rangers, seeing eagles and the river. Hike under the trees.

“Learn from really sharp rangers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

If you are there in the summer (beginning in mid June), there are activities pretty much every day, and the rangers there are very impressive. Even in winter the park is very engaging. Be sure to see the 22-minute movie about Lewis and Clark from the viewpoint of the natives -- very unique. Be prepared to fully engage your imagination when you walk through the rooms of Fort Clatsop. All in all, a place to learn and enjoy! ... and so inexpensive!

Great site to visit! The fellow in the museum was so sweet and helpful explaining things to us, and my young boys.

“Great Place to Learn and Appreciate History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

I visited the park and visitor center on a rainy day in January. The park had been open for nearly 2 hours and I was the first person to arrive. The staff at the visitor center greeted me and were extremely polite. They were also extremely helpful explaining some historical facts as well as helping me get back to Portland using a safe route. That being said, the park was unique and picturesque. If you like history or even taking a walk this is a wonderful place to visit. The National Park Service has again done a wonderful job with this site.

There is no fee to explore the visitor center, but there was a small fee to go into the park which was worthwhile.

“Cape Of Disappointment”

The name says it all. Worth the trip just to photograph the welcome sign.
