The Astoria Trolley is an inexpensive and fun way to see some picturesque views of the river front. The Trolley runs from near the cruise ship terminal with a few stops along the way like the Maritime Museum, a pier with sealions, and a Safeway. When you reach the end instead of turning the trolley around the seats actually flip and everyone turns around to face the other direction. The volunteer conductors are friendly and can tell stories about the sights.
The only problem is that there is only one trolley car and a single set of tracks. This means that there is a long wait in between round trips. We actually walked all the way down to one end of the tracks and started heading back before the trolley caught up, and we saw many people waiting a long time at the stations. This also meant that it was quite full and some people had to stand. However, if you can catch it at the right time it is a very nice trip.
