“Our Third Visit and look forward to the next!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We frequently travel from southern Oregon to Seattle, and The Astoria Holiday Inn is the Highlight of the trip!!! The room and the view is so luxurious, the staff so friendly, and we love the breakfast. A Great place to crash after a long day on the road!!!

Room Tip: Ask for the water side and watch the maritime traffic and the many different ducks.

This is a nice hotel. The front desk was nice. The breakfast was good. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a nice view. The bathroom was a good size for four people. They do have bikes available to ride but you have to be 18 years or older. The lobby was nice to. Overall great!

Typical Holiday Inn. Located right on the Columbia River. Behind the hotel is a nice walking path that goes for quite a while. Rooms very quite and clean. Front desk very efficient and pleasant. The breakfast is quite nice with plenty of choices. Right on the main highway and located under the Astoria bridge. Great views and close to several restaurants..

Only stayed for one night, in a double queen but found the room to be very nice. The room was not inexpensive but it was very clean, and spacious. We had four people in the room and there was plenty of space for all. Vanity is in bathroom, and the bathroom is large as well. Also, I noticed that the lobby was designed so that you could meet with friends, etc without being directly in front of the reception desk. There is a couch and a couple of chairs that face a fireplace....that is a nice touch. Breakfast is as you would expect at a HI Express but staff was very attentive and room kept tidy and clean.

Room Tip: Ask for a bay view room - it is quite lovely.

My wife and adult daughter had a gorgeous room with a view of the river.

The rooms are so spacious, clean and well appointed. The quality of beds and pillows made for a great sleep. The air conditioning was whisper quiet and never disturbed our sleep.

The staff were incredibly friendly and had great tips for us for meals and antique shops. The pool was sparkling clean, unlike the pool at the hotel we stayed at the previous nights.

The complimentary buffet breakfast was very good. We were so stuffed that we didn't even need to eat lunch.

We will be back - count on it.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the top floor with a river view - you won't regret it.

This is one of the nicest Holiday Inn's I've stayed at. I had a room on the first floor, facing the water and it was great. Very comfortable, great view, really fun location (practically under the bridge). I loved Astoria and this hotel made my 2 night stay there even nicer. I would go back.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room that faces the water.

We were traveling with my daughter and her teenage friend. We booked the K/Q suite. Although the room was not a traditional suit, the layout worked really well with the king bedroom seperated from the queen room by a good sized bathroom and small kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge. We were delighted to find four individually wrapped serving sets with paper plate and bowl. plastic serving ware and napkin as we had pizza and salads delivered to our room from local pizza joint. The hotel has loaner bicycles and we went for a great 10 mile ride along a water front path. Our room had an awesome view of the Columbia river and we watched the sunset behind the bridge. Would have loved to stay more than the one night. This is a great hotel for sightseeing and the suite is a great room for a traveling family.
