Stayed here once before and wanted to come back. Upgraded the room to a King (for $50 extra) and asked for one of the rooms with a fireplace and tub/shower combo (looked good on the internet photo).
I got neither.
At first I thought there had been a mistake so I went back down to the front desk where very quickly the manager popped out from behind a curtain. After a few minutes on the computer she told me I did have the correct room and she was out of rooms with a fireplace and a bath but she could move me to a room with a river view.
To which I asked, "If that room is available, why was I put in a room with a view of a parking lot?"
Long story short, the only option for me was to pay $50 more and upgrade to another room. I opted to stay in the room we were placed.
Our room had an empty wine bottle in a drawer, a considerable amount of dust bunnies behind the bathroom door and pillows that smelled so much like someone else's head, that I went and got a towel from the bathroom to lay over them. Unfortunately, I had to use that towel the next day which at that point smelled like the pillow.
Maybe this was a fluke? I would definitely not return based on the room and the unaccommodating manager
