“Fish n Chips at the Bowpicker”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

After passing this place for years, we stood in line for 40 minutes (be warned it is a cash only business and the only thing on the menu is fish n chips). The staff is friendly and move as fast as they can. The Fish n Chips were good; the breading very light and tasty. But the best ever? I'll have to sample more restaurants.

“Very unique place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014 via mobile

This is very special place, you would not find it anywhere else. And old ship, turned into a fish and chips restaurant. Very casual set.

“Best fish & chips....bar none”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

Each time we go to Astoria, The Bowpicker is a must. Across the street from the Maritme Museum, they had what I thought was halibut but turns out to be albacore tuna. Our first time there, we stood behind EMTs, firemen and business folks...even some Moose members from across the street. I just wish we weren't 72 miles away or I would eat there a lot more.

“3 days in a row”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

My husband and son ate here 3 days in a row so it must be good. My husband even waited in a line for it and that's something he usually refuses to do, so yeah it is that good.
