“A MUST GO TO!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

This place has the BEST fish and chips we have ever had. It is a must to go and eat at. We waited in line for 20min.and ate in our car since there are only 2 picnic tables. Not really set up for eating there. It has a great nostalgic feel. If you go to Astoria stop by there, you will regret it if you don't.

“Friday Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Even though we had enjoyed a late breakfast we couldn't resist getting in line for our fish and chips. The menu is limited it is fish and chips or fish and chips. My wife asked the people ahead in line what was good and they smiled and said , " Fish and Chips". The line moved at a good pace but really making new friends in line is part of the allure of this local landmark. Don't plan on dining at night as they close around 6:00 our when there daily catch is gone. We found this out the hard way the previous evening. We don't get to Astoria often but when we do and will be lunch at Bowpicker Fish & Chips.

“Not worth the wait”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Stopped here as we were passing through Astoria and looked on Tripadvisor for someplace to get some lunch. There was quite a long line and we waited about 40 minutes to get our food. The fish and chips were good, but nothing special; definitely not worth waiting in line for 40 minutes and then eating on a dirty picnic table in a parking lot. Astoria is not a fancy place, but there must be a better option than this.

“Worth the Wait in Line”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Its served out of an actual fishing boat that is loaded on a trailer, and is across the street from the Maritime Museum. As I understand it, the line is always long, but then again, that says something about the quality of the food, and it was GOOD!

“Albacore Tuna Fish & Chips”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Wait in line for fish & chips served up in an old gillnetter boat beached in a small park. It's worth the wait for delicious fish & chips made with albacore tuna. That was a first for me.
