“Close to most places but....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

This property is located on the northwest corner of I-95 and Butler Boulevard and as such it is very convenient for off/on access to I-95 but therein lies the problem. It is a fine establishment but there is nothing in walking distance, except for a Cracker Barrel right next door, and it tends to be very noisy and if there is construction on I-95 at night, you can and will hear it in this hotel. I tend to stay higher up on the floors of the hotel but due to the freeway noise, you might want a lower floor to help drown out the constant background noise with some of the vegetation.

The hotel seems to be fairly modern and was either recently built or remodeled in the last several years. Was able to stay with a corporate rate so the price ($90) could not be beat. Room was very clean and well kept. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Tues has a free happy hour and appetizers.

My only complaint was that my room was right next to the elevator which people constantly rode on until 3am and started again at 6am. Otherwise fairly restful stay.

For business travelers in the area there is a limited supply of nice restaurants in the area so be prepared to drive at least 15 minutes to get something to eat. In a section with multiple other hotels in the area so kind of surprising. Has a starbucks and cafe in the lobby to eat if you need to. Breakfast was a little higher priced than I would have liked, but similarly priced to other hotels of the same kind.

Close to, but not right next to the interstate which made the commute a little longer, but worth it to be a little out of the way.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room near the elevator

This hotel seemed to be fairly new and looked very nice. It was very clean and the staff was great. It is right next door to a Cracker Barrel and close to another favorite restaurant in the area, The Jacksonville Ale House. Typically, Marriott is not my first choice, but I would definetly stay at this location again.

I've stayed here twice through Priceline when I've come to Jax. Love it here! We always get a huge King room with a balcony. Bathroom is a little small but always clean. The room is quiet (AC, too) and clean and central to everything in Jax. Cracker Barrel is right next door too so we always walked over for a quick breakfast :) They always accommodate for late check in or out. TV is a nice flat-screen, bed is SO comfortable and big. Don't think twice, stay here :)

This Hotel was nice, the rooms were clean, and the staff was nice. The Hotel is conveniently located near the interstate so you can get where you need to go quickly, however the traffic in the morning on Butler Boulevard was pretty bad. There were no good restaurants nearby for dinner. There is an Applebee's next door, but based on the reviews it did not look like a good place to go. The hotel was fine, I just think I will stay in better location next time. I used the gym, it was nice but very small. The pool area looked good.

This hotel is in a good location, it has been recently renovated. The staff is very friendly. It has a good rate. I found it a step up from most Courtyards. The staff is the real difference. I felt welcomed the minute I arrived.

I have spent four days in totat rebooking the room every day (unfortunaly because my doughter was enjoured during these days and i didnt know when i could leave jacksonville) so The hotel receptionist extended my staying although I was not sure of my departure date just to make sure I had a room available. Little issue one of the night the air conditioning was out of work. They moved me in other room and upload extra points to my reward card
