“What a pleasant surprise.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

This was an awesome buy. My family reserved 3 rooms because of the low price. We were a bit concerned but that quickly went away when we pulled up to the property. All three rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. The public spaces were attractive. The shuttle to the airport was on demand and very convenient. I would certainly stay here again.

My wife reserved a room for one night. After few minutes she was worried because she read roo late bad reviews.
Instead we sayed very good in this hotel.
It is a deal if you need to stay few nights. My room at 5th floor was large enough and I could use fridge, micro oven and coffe maker. Do you want more than this for few bucks?
Corridor was a little stinky but the room was clean and without any smells. Maybe the bathroom could be small.
Breakfast was very very good. I stayed also at Microtel Inn for some dollars more. There are nor relevant differences (bigger and better TV but horrible breakfast).

We stayed a night at the Jacksonville Airport Hotel (formerly the Clarion) on New Year's Day because of an early flight in the morning. They will be renovating in the near future, but the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the Destinations lounge. The food was delicious and Dave was a great host.

They serve a full, "hot" breakfast from 5:30 to 10:00 a.m. and have a 24-hour shuttle to and from the terminals. The breakfast and coffee were actually fully ready by 5:45, and hot dishes needed a good stir to get a hot serving. There is a 7:00 a.m. shift change for shuttle drivers, so beware if you need your ride back from the airport right away.

Room Tip: Ask if you need queen bed(s) because you may get full size.

this was the most horrible hotel experience EVER! i did my best to make it work, since it was pre paid for, but it was hard. when we arrived, the floor that we were on smelled aweful...like musk & wet dog. & someone was smoking & the neighbors were noisy as hell.
when our room was switched to an 'executive suite', the only thing that was different was the size of the room & the broken sofa bed!
breakfast was a joke! this experience was just bad! i was informed that the hotel is getting an upgrade. maybe they should just CLOSE & try again. cause staying there is not worth any amount of $. yep...that bad!
nothing was as the pics made them appear to be! very dissappointed

Room Tip: if you want a good room, DON'T STAY HERE!

Only stay here if you want to be really close to JAX Airport; I wouldn't recommend longer than one night either. This place doesn't look anything like it's pictures on the internet so BEWARE! It had rust on the building tops and the pool and jacuzzi were closed. The pool had a green layer growing on it! The on-site restaurant was small (tables were sticky); one saving grace is that it was cheap (I paid $55 and stayed on a Wed nite) and breakfast was included the following morning). Bed & bathroom were clean; TV was small and couldn't get a clear picture but I guess you get what you pay for!

Room Tip: Read my review. You get what you pay for!

WARNING: ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU ARE DESPERATE!
First, let me say that the STAFF was overall accommodating and pleasant, the lobby stale smelling but presentable and the location convenient to the airport. It is the physical plant of the hotel that is AWFUL! We were placed in the two story pool-side section of the hotel. Out of close to 100 rooms, only THREE were occupied. (This should have said something) It took three rooms (third times a charm) to get one that was both relatively clean AND had air conditioning that "worked" (okay, the temp never went below 79 degrees, but cooler than outside or the hallway!) The hallways were dingy, the carpeting worn, torn and dirty, and HOT. (No air in the hallways; the knobs had been removed from the unit air conditioners) Since we had no transportation, we were stuck that first night. The hotel was supposedly "booked" solid. I consider our family pretty tolerant; the only way we coped was to keep everything off the floor and remember that it was one night out of our lives....
While we were there, a sign went up that the hotel will be under new ownership; "Jacksonville Airport Conference Center". Let's hope that refurbishment is part of their goal list!

Room Tip: Book somewhere else or give the new owners months to revamp current premises. (as of 7/12)

A person walked right into my room at 8pm... The front desk had given them keys to my room and said was a computer error... I was extremely upset and frightened... I have contacted them about it, but they have not responded... Awful experience.... Only good thing is the shuttle.

Room Tip: Double lock door immediately...
