Stayed here for two nights during my daughters audition at JU. The hotel entry is great, standard hotel rooms (beds very comfy and room/bath very clearn). The excercise facility is small but very nice and it was never crowded when we want at night and early in the morning. The rooftop pool of the gym is very nice. We enjoyed a great breakfast and Juliettes, daughter had the egg white spinach omelete and it was very fresh with great presentation. What stands out about this hotel is the service from the employees. From the restaurant to housekeeping, front desk and even the employee in putting water with lemon and fresh towel in the gym...everyone is there to make sure you have what you need and are enjoying your stay. You can tell from those who ask because its their "job" and to those who ask because they care about the guest and the place they work. There is a guest service desk that was not manned too much and when we asked questions about going across the river, we were not too well informed. For example nobody told us that the river taxi comes every 30minutes (someone should know this). Also unless you have young children who want to take the river taxi, save your $$ and walk across the bridge, it was quick and easy. This is "downtown" and aside from the symphony or show at the performing arts center, the area is not crowded enough for you to feel comfortable walking around. We dined early one night at Victors Cafe and we walked straight back to the hotel. Even during the day we did not feel comfortable down by the river front, definitely a few shady characters...in an odd way.We are NYC daily train/subway takers so we are use to shady characters and we've traveled but maybe it was due to the lack of other people being around that made it odd. We parked at the garage attached to the hotel for $12 daily; if I were solo I would have valet parked. As an Omni gold member I enjoyed the coffee delivery each morning and it was right on time every morning. If you are in the area for business or an event this is a nice hotel, aside from that not much to do or see. We drove to the St.Johns Town Square mall which is an outdoor shopping mall (very nice) but we found many restaurants there, we also drove to Atlantic Beach and dined at Azurea. Very nice hotel, Excellent customer service.
