“Nice Tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Not as big as St. Louis or the Miller Tour in Milwaukee, but we still had fun and learned about the Anheuser/Busch entrepreneurial spirit especially through prohibition. Of course the beer tasting at the end was enjoyable.

“Free tour of a working brewery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Stopped by while on a roadtrip. Free parking and a free tour. Our host was motivated to tell the story of the company and a very quick explanation of how the brewing proces works.

Would recommend this tour if you are passing by

“Interesting way to kill an hour on your way to the airport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

The free tour is cursory at best. Our "host" took a relatively small group of 10 through the tour and was clearly in a hurry to "get 'er done". It was the last tour of the day (3:15 p.m.), and it was clear that he was in a hurry. He blew past several of the viewing stations and gave only passing descriptions of the numerous informative displays. From the standpoint of seeing a very impressive industrial operation function, this tour is great, and perhaps other "hosts" do a better job of interpreting what is going on. A sizeable chunk of the tour time is spent watching a cheezy video about "brewmasters", which was a complete waste of time.

For kids, this tour should be characterized as a way to see how a major consumer product production plant works. It is very impressive, and as a parent that's the angle I would pitch to the kids.

The hospitality room does offer two free brews, plus pretzels and sodas for the kids. The downside is that the beers on offer are AB products.

So, it's a sort of interesting place to kill a couple of hours on your way to the airport, which is only about 15 minutes away.

“Great Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

A must stop for any beer lover. Really impressed with the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the plant. Will try Beermaster tour next time. The fresh beer at the end is amazing. Doesnt get any fresher than that.

“What's brewing?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Interesting free tour for overview of how Anhauser Busch makes beer and the history of the company. About 45 minutes. Only 4 in our group. Long enough for overview; short enough if beer is really not your thing. My husband likes to see how things are made. Hospitality room at end for 2 free beers to sample and pretzels. Sodas/colas if you prefer. Free parking. We saw the barn and the horses in St. Louis but the tour was closed when we were there. Horses come once a year to Jacksonville and guide said about 5,000 turned out to see.
