“Unique Suprise in Shopping Center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013 via mobile

After a long trip from Tennessee we found this place on our Trip Advisor app. It is off I-10 on the way to the beach and very well worth a stop. The seafood is prepared just right. Martha had the seafood combo salad with miso dressing. Normally we do not like miso but this was homemade and wonderful. Her fish, shrimp and scollops were grilled. I tried a fried dish and it was very good also. It was lightly breaded and not over done, very good. The server was very helpful and talked us into trying the miso. We can highly recommend this as a stop in Jacksonville Beach. We intend to return to try other dishes.

“Best seafood in Jacksonville. Fresh, Friendly, Affordable and Clean!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

We've been there twice now. Will definitely be regulars. 100% agreement with the other reviews. I really like the grouper (grilled). The green beans are the best I've ever eaten at any restaurant. Hush puppies are great. Now much more convenient for us at Atlantic & Kernan. Just add drenched butter & garlic rolls and some thick tender clam NE clam chowder and I would think I am at the famous Bob Chinn's in Chicago!

“You have to try this place! Fresh, clean, friendly and delicious. Not fancy, just good fresh seafood where you feel welcome.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

This was our second visit. Food is very fresh, most items are made on site. Gumbo was wonderful. Thick with shrimp and sausage. Spinach cake is a must have as a side order. Hush puppies are some of the best I've tried. Service needs some time to get the hang of it, but they are trying their best to please. They came from Safe Harbor where there was no table service, so this is a learning experience. Sid is very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This place is here to stay.

“What a catch! The freshest seafood in Jacksonville! Don't miss this one!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

My Mother's Day dining destination was one that I'd never heard...Sid and Linda's Seafood. It proved to be a culinary delight and a definite future destination! I had the Blackened Snapper and it was declared the winner at our table. Moist and substantial portions! The hush puppies were tasty, too. We also had a soup course. Among the choices were fish chowder and Crab Savannah. The soups were hits of the house!
Things to note: Don't want to eat in house? They have a fish market just past the main dining room with beautiful selections. For an additional $2 per pound, they will cook the fish to order for a take home treat! There is also a freezer full of the homemade soups, seafood dips, and large quantities of conch, scallops, and squid.
Service was very attentive and fast. Business was packed due to the Mother's Day crowd, but the wait staff informed us that the crowds have justified an expansion set to begin at the end of June 2013 into the retail space next door.
Sid and Linda used to operate Safe Harbor seafood at Mayport fishing village. So happy to see that they've opened closer to the crowds and serving the freshest seafood on the First Coast!

“They're Back!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We had to follow Sid and Linda to open their restaurant by Kernan and Atlantic Blvd. As usual the restaurant serves the freshest seafood and price is so affordable. You can never leave hungry. They have the same friendliest staff. We will definitely be back.
