This place is a hidden oasis: dark woods walls, tiled floors, small secluded dining rooms as well as open larger ones and an extensive well chosen wine selection beautifully displayed for perusal thoughout the entranceway.
At first glance the menu selections appear typical continental fare, but after perusing descriptions one realizes that this is numerous steps above that. Our party found each course well above par, some bordering on the devine. And unlike many trendy restaurants where three bites and you're done, served here are generous, but not overwhelming portions.
The service we received was also impecable. Our waiter, who has been with the establishment 7 years, could have worked at any 5 star restaurant and the fact that he has been there that long speaks to the continuing quality of the establishment. Though don't expect stuffy. He was respectfully friendly without ever being obtrusive.
There is a small hidden garden in the back that in good weather would becken anyone to while away a few hours soaking in the great food wine and atmosphere. I almost hesitated to let anyone in on this secret, as they rarely advertise, but if upscale dining is your thing, you'll be thrilled to add this to your list. The prices tend towards the higher end, but the uniqueness, quality, and presentation make it a very well spent evening.
